The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, May 20, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will deliver Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) evidence to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) make an important decision.
At Society, Sally will fear Billy is keeping secrets about his potential arrest when he hides his phone.
Billy will eventually come clean about being in touch with Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) the wedding planner as a surprise for Sally.
Since Pietro will have such a long wait list, Sally and Billy will opt to plan the ceremony themselves.
It’ll be decided that the wedding will be extravagant and will happen when Sally is showing.
Sally will suggest October, so Billy will be pleased over locking in their wedding month as they look forward to planning the other details.
In the suite Phyllis got for him, Matt will be adamant about leaving town.
When Matt’s back is turned, Phyllis will grab something nearby and whack him in the head with it.
Once Matt’s unconscious and tied up, Phyllis will snap a pic of him using her phone.
Downstairs, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will push Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to get Phyllis to agree to his demand for both Matt and Newman Enterprises by the end of the day.
Phyllis will return to her suite and meet with Michael, but she’ll refuse to strike Victor’s deal and will argue that she doesn’t need him.
Michael will wonder what Phyllis is up to, but she’ll insist she’s thinking outside the box and will fire him.
After Michael heads back downstairs on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, he’ll let Victor know that Phyllis cut him loose as her attorney.
Michael will note that from now on, Victor will be dealing with Phyllis directly.
At Crimson Lights, Nick will drop his pill bag and scramble to hide it when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) appears.
Victoria will admit she summoned Nick to check on him, but he’ll act like he’s fine.
Nick will claim he had his first “meet and greet” for rehab today, but Victoria will ask a ton of questions about detoxing and the whole process.
The fact that Nick’s so mellow will also leave Victoria suspicious, so she’ll push Nick to stop hiding things from her.
Nick will keep lying anyway, so he’ll tell Victoria that it’s one of his doctors when Phyllis calls.
After Nick steps out to the patio, he’ll admit to Phyllis that Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) needs proof that she has Matt.
Nick will confess that he’d like to see some evidence as well, so Phyllis will text him a photo of Matt bound and gagged in his hotel suite.
