The Young and the Restless (Y&R) preview video for the week of June 1-5 reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will pitch the idea of having another child with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) while Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) could potentially be facing something far worse than migraines.
Y&R’s weekly promo kicks off with Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) telling Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) that she got a call from the board of directors at Genoa City Memorial Hospital.
It turns out the hospital’s looking for a new chief of staff, so Stephanie mentions that someone put her name in the running.
Nate then admits it was him, so Stephanie should be grateful as she mulls over the news and eventually decides to accept this exciting opportunity.
The weekly preview video also shows Nikki talking to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about her persistent headaches.
Nikki acknowledges that she’s had migraines before and assumes her doctor will probably say they’re a symptom of her MS, which she already has medication for.
However, Victoria seemed concerned in the promo clip and questions whether Nikki could be dealing with something more serious.
The preview video wraps up with Adam and Chelsea’s conversation at Crimson Lights, where he points out that they’ve done such a great job with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Adam uses that to lead into his question of whether Chelsea has ever thought about having another child.
It sounds like Adam will essentially pitch the idea of them having a baby, but Chelsea may pump the brakes.
Chelsea might worry that Adam is thinking about this possibility for the wrong reasons.
They can’t have another baby just because Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is having one with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so Chelsea may steer Adam away from the suggestion.
That’s especially true since Connor is doing so well managing his OCD.
Chelsea may argue that she doesn’t want to disrupt Connor’s life with change and risk any kind of setback.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea and Adam will have an important discussion about their future, so stay tuned.
