Don’t be surprised if there’s a sudden flux of applications to Cambridge University for next year. It’s just been announced that Prince William is going back to college, or more specifically, he’s going to Cambridge for an ‘executive education program’ in agricultural management that will run ten weeks.
The palace released a statement announcing the news, adding, “The course has been designed to help provide the duke with an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom.” The program will take place from January to March of 2014, and it will probably allow Will to stay close to home, with his wife and new baby son.
Will is reportedly ‘very much looking forward to it‘, especially since the course will remind him of his own college days at St. Andrews, what with the field trips, classes, lectures, seminars, and even homework.
The timing was probably very opportune for Will to be able to take these classes. He just wrapped up his stint with the royal air force last year, and he’s looking to expand on his managerial duties. Learning about agriculture is very important to any future monarch, especially since it’s considered the cornerstone of the British economy. No doubt, the fact that it would allow him to stay close to his son was a huge bonus, even if it meant doing homework and going back to school. It will be interesting to see what kind of privacy, if any, he gets while at Cambridge. But what will Kate Middleton think about all those young hot co-eds hovering over the Prince?
