Kourtney Kardashian has decided to grace us with her opinion on midwives and home births. But is it an educated opinion, an intelligently thought-out opinion, or even a thought-provoking one? Yeah, that’s a no. Yet another example of a Kardashian talking about something that they have no earthly expertise on.
On the topic of home births, Kourtney claims, “I think it [a hospital birth] is smarter and safer. I witnessed a home birth with my sister Khloé and, after seeing it, I felt it wasn’t for me. There was too much risk involved and it wasn’t as sanitary as a hospital.”
I can’t tell if Kourtney is indirectly dissing her sister right now, or whether she’s just dissing home births – or both? Sister feuding is nothing new to the Kardashian household, and this is exactly the kind of thing that the Kardashians do on a regular basis to get on each other’s nerves. However, couldn’t Kourtney find another way to insult her sister?
Home births versus hospital births is a deeply divided issue, and Kourtney doesn’t have nearly enough experience to go around bashing midwives and home births just because she doesn’t agree with it. It’s ridiculous and petty that she would even say that in an interview. But you know, ridiculous and petty are the unofficial Kardashian mottos, so maybe it’s good that Kourtney is sticking to her brand image. Wouldn’t want to confuse anyone by sprouting a brain now, would we?
