Tonight on MTV their new series Eye Candy continues with an all new Monday February 9, season 1 episode 5 called “IRL,” and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode, a media mogul throws a party.

On tonight’s episode as per the MTV synopsis, “A media mogul throws a party at IRL to encourage New Yorkers to not be afraid.”

When Tommy gets home, he finds a random guy in his apartment. When he threatens the guy. he tells Tommy that an ad has been put out online claiming everything in the apartment is up for grabs, and that it was pretty much cleared out when he got there.
He goes looking for his dog, only to finds out that someone is playing a game with him, and is given the advice to call the police.
Connor has had access to his blog taken away from him because something he’s working on may go viral. He is on a date at a restaurant called Transparency, which is pitch black inside with a staff that is all legally blind. He goes to the restroom, and a creeper comes back to the table instead of him. The killer monologues about Connor writing all of those “bad things about Lindy and I,” looking to punish him. He slits a woman’s throat, and when the lights are turned on, everyone rushes out. Her tongue has been ripped out and left on his date’s tongue.
He goes back to Lindy, Tommy and Sophia. He wonders if the killer was going after him, Oliver or that woman. They don’t know as he met Oliver on Flirtual. All three of the people meet his criteria.
When Tommy suggests that maybe he shouldn’t have written all those blog posts, he says he didn’t write all of the blogs about the killer; his boss Hamish wrote some.
Hamish wants to start a “serial killer” party in protest, which the police don’t want him to do because they think it will provoke the killer. When he leaves the room, Lindy suggests they record the identity of every person to attend the party, and if the killer takes the bait, they will be able to use information they gather. The sergeant says they will give him a permit only under the condition that they can control the venue, and Lindy says she knows just the place.
At the party, Tommy tells Lindy not to get her hopes up that the killer will show, and she says it just feels good to feel like they’re doing something.
Connor is shocked to see Oliver arrive.
Sophia and Lindy see the hot Australian guy walk in, and Lindy goes and talks to him. He says that him being arrested was a mistake, and Lindy says she knows.
She tells him things are a little upside down for her right now and it has nothing to do with him. She says she is going through an unexpected breakup and she thought she could move on, but she isn’t ready.
The surveillance team loses their connection to the cyber crimes unit. Tommy gets a text saying “meet me out back so we can talk.”
Outside, some guy confronts him about sleeping with his girl, showing him a photo on her Flirtual account. He says that photo is shopped and that he’s a cop. The guy attacks him, beating him into the ground and kicking him repeatedly. Blood is coming out of his mouth.
At the party, a message comes on over the intercom saying everyone can play a game to win one million dollars, as well as a popup that shows up on everyone’s cell phone. The first challenge is for everyone to kiss their neighbor and take a picture.
Lindy goes to George and asks him about the game. He explains that it is an app which pays money directly into your bank account once you’ve completed a challenge. Lindy tells him to go to the security office and find out if this is malware.
Hamish walks up to Lindy and tells him that a million dollars has been taken from his bank account.
He offers to hire her to find out who he is and get it back. She doesn’t want to help him so he can splash stories about it all over the Internet.
Oliver tells Lindy that he smelled the killer when he was sitting across from him at the table, and that they wear a distinctive oil or perfume that smells earthy and sweet.
Someone with a mask looms over Tommy’s unconscious body. He says: “Sorry you had to miss the party. Let the games begin.”
Jake angrily confronts Lindy for talking to one of the cops who arrested him, asking her what’s going on. Lindy tells Jake that she was in love with a cop who was murdered by the Flirtual killer, and they think he is here and behind this game. She has him follow her.
George tells Lindy that whoever is running the game must be in the building. He says he’s examined the malware being used to run the game, showing it to her. She determines that this isn’t the Flirtual killer, but rather an anonymous hacker called Bubonic. One of the best hackers in the world, he used to shut down bad guys but has turned into a dangerous criminal.
The security guard prevents Hamish from leaving the building in order to prevent himself and everyone else from losing their money.
The challenge is now to punch someone in the face. Connor punches someone who punched Oliver, and they make out.
Tommy wakes up in the ambulance and tells the sergeant that Bubonic is the one running the game. He reveals that Bubonic contacted him last night.
The sergeant tells him that the bomb squad is taking over as a bomb threat has been made.
Lindy finds an unconscious, bleeding Jake, handcuffed to a bomb.
The bomb counter is tied with the game, with another counter reflecting the temperature in the boiler. The more money is given away, the higher the temperature climbs. When it gets too high, the place is going to blow.
When they go back out into the party, they see people cutting off their own fingers for $345,000. The number on the money meter attached to the bomb is currently 345000.
Lindy video chats with Tommy, telling him that they are out of time.
The challenge video now says “steal their phone, steal their money.” Lindy hides in the stairwell as the situation gets extremely violent. Tommy tells her not to go downstairs as she doesn’t know how dangerous Bubonic is, but she says that yes she does and someone has to do it. When Lindy gets down there, Bubonic tells her it’s time she finds out who she’s really working with because they’re murderers. He tells her about how the police arrested his girlfriend, who then hanged herself in her prison cell. He tells her that people like he and Lindy, who don’t follow the rules, will always be enemies to them. He says that he’s sorry he’s done terrible things, but he’s really mad.
Bubonic says that everyone turns bad for a price, asking what hers is: catching him or saving the day, as he holds his phone in front of her face.
When she asks if he knows anything about her sister, he says no. She grabs the cell phone, and he says he’s sure they’ll be seeing eachother real soon.
The game is stopped and the meter goes back to one million dollars.
Outside, Jake thanks Lindy for saving his life and everyone else’s. He asks Lindy if she wants to make 250 bucks and she says sure. He kisses her, and Tommy looks on pressed and jelly.
Tommy asks Lindy if she’s seen Bubonic, and she says no. Tommy tells her that Bubonic by his nature is deceptive. She asks why he did it, and Tommy suggests that maybe Bubonic and the killer are connected.
Meanwhile, Bubonic and Hamish meet up. Bubonic thanks him for the loan and tells him all the money is back in his account.
Connor goes back into the empty venue looking for Oliver, who has just been yanked up by his throat with a cord, leaving only his cell phone behind.
