“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that Christian Newman may not be dead. It looks like his death was faked as part of an elaborate scheme to enable Dr. Anderson [Elizabeth Bogush] to kidnap the infant to give to Sharon [Sharon Case]. The spoilers from confidential CDL sources claim that the shady doc will tell Sharon that the infant is her child, and she will believe it.
Sage [Kelly Sullivan] and Nick [Joshua Morrow] barely survived the Halloween gala fire. They rushed to the hospital, so they could spend time with their newborn son, and a doctor meets them in the hallway with bad news about his status.
The doc told them she was calling them several times in the past few hours. They explain they were at a Halloween gala, when Newman Towers caught on fire and had no phone reception. Doc told them that Christian didn’t make it. The doctor tells them that he had complications, and he wasn’t strong enough to pull through.
On the Thursday, November 5 episode, Sage becomes unhinged and demanded to see her son. The social worker arrives and tells them the measures medical staff went to revive Christian are upsetting to witness on his now damaged body and advise against seeing their baby’s corpse. Nick said he didn’t care; they wanted to see him RIGHT now.
It looks like the kidnapping storyline is a go. Dr. A has some sort of revenge plan against Nick and Sharon, and the motive hasn’t been clearly implied just yet. It is speculated that she will be a relative of Sandra Allen, the girl who suffered a spinal injury in High School at the Newman ranch.
Patty [Stacy Haiduk] left Fairview because she was worried about Sharon and the care she was receiving. Patty told Sharon, “I have been in mental institutions long enough to know when I see a shady doctor, and SHARON, Dr. Anderson is a Quack.”
Sharon became aggressive when Patty suggested she stops taking her medicines. Patty knew she was in real trouble and had to do something before something terrible happened – either to Sharon or the baby, Sharon delusionally believes she is carrying.
It isn’t unreasonable to think that Sharon’s doctor would know other physicians at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. Dr. Anderson may even have a very close friend that works there that would help her in the scheme to steal the Newman baby. Clearly, money is not the motive; so why would she go out of her way to hurt Nick and/or Sage by making them believe that Christian is dead? No doubt we will learn the answers to these questions in future Y&R episodes.
Eventually, the hospital staff allows Sage to see her deceased infant. Sage tells Nick she won’t believe he is gone until she sees it with her own eyes. Sage goes to go in to see her son, but finally says she can’t see him like that. If Christian was, in fact, kidnapped, the fact that she can’t bear to see the infant makes it that much easier to pull off the scheme.
In the previews for Friday, November 6 episode, Paul tells Dr. A that he is onto her, and it was in her best interest to contact an attorney. If Paul knows she kidnapped Christian – big if- will he find him before it’s too late? Christian’s health was not the most stable, and he’d need continuous medical care.
