“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman’s (Justin Hartley) kidnapper is a woman, not a man as most assumed. Sure Adam has left a trail of broken hearts in his wake, but what chick would kidnap him? Perhaps Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) acting on behalf of Ian Ward (Ray Wise)!
Y&R spoilers have teased for weeks that crazy Patty could be back in Genoa City in time for sweeps and this may be her carrying out a mission for Ian. It’s likely that Ian still has access to the computer network at Newman Enterprises as well as a backdoor into Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) computer.
That would put Ian in a position to know about the deal with hacker Natalie (Mara McCaffray) and know how important she is to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). We all know that Ian can get out of prison anytime he wants – he seems to have some sort of private entrance to the place…
And last we saw Patty, she was utterly devoted to the charismatic former cult leader – we know she’d do anything for him. Plus, Ian never got to wreck Newman Enterprises like he wanted thanks to Adam switching sides, so Ian would definitely be down for revenge against him.
Plus, Ian likes the technical stuff – Paragon was his brainchild after all. If Ian gets hold of Natalie, there’s no telling what the two of them could do together. Also, it’s possible that Natalie and Ian are working together. She seems surprised by all of this, but you never know.
If Ian latched on to the orphan – met her online perhaps – they could have set up this whole thing with the promise of her miracle program to lure the Newmans and Abbotts in – there may not even be any other investors… Whether Natalie is complicit in the kidnapping scheme remains to be seen.
Patty being the kidnapper would be critical because it would put her back into play in Genoa City just in time. You’ll recall that Patty is the only one who knows the truth about Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) not being pregnant and Sully not being her child.
Patty is wise to Dr Anderson’s (Elizabeth Bogush) schemes and is the one person who could reveal what she’s up to. Patty tried several times to get to her nephew Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) to tell him the truth about Sully, but then everyone assumed she died – even though no bodies were found.
If Patty and Ian are behind Adam’s kidnapping, it will be ironic that the GCPD and Victor try to spring a trap at the Top of the Tower – the very place where Adam left Ian for dead in the Halloween blaze the last time Ian took on the Newmans.
Ian has always been able to control women and get them to do his dirty work, so ordering already-unbalanced Patty to arrange Adam’s kidnapping would have been easy enough – particularly since the lady kidnapper used hired muscle to do the deed and didn’t bother to do it herself.
