Kiefer Sutherland Releases ‘Not Enough Whiskey’ Video And Added As Presenter For 2016 ACM Awards - '24' Actor Goes Country!

Kiefer Sutherland will be a presenter at the 2016 ACM awards. Kiefer has gone country in a big way – he has just released the video for his single ‘Not Enough Whiskey.’ The ACM presenter announcement and the video were released on the same day: Monday, March 28.

The folk-inspired ‘Not Enough Whiskey’ is the first single from Kiefer’s upcoming debut LP entitled Down in a Hole. Kiefer’s album will be released under Ironworks record label. Kiefer co-founded Ironworks with singer-songwriter Jude Cole in 2002.

Kiefer will begin his first tour as a musician in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 14. The last show of this tour will end on May 28 in Amagansett, New York. An announcement regarding a release date for the album is expected soon, but fans should expect it sometime this summer.

But first, Kiefer will be on hand as a presenter at the ACM Awards. Other presenters scheduled for the Academy of Country Music Awards show include Kacey Musgraves, Jana Kramer, Martina McBride, Jake Owen, Cole Swindell, and Kip Moore. The ACM Awards will be co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley.

The Academy of Country Music also released the names of additional artists performing at the awards show. Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Old Dominion and Charles Kelley have all been added to the already star-studded line-up.

In previous interviews, Kiefer Sutherland has revealed that branching out into country music has been enjoyable. The writing and recording has brought the actor-musician a great deal of happiness. Kiefer is especially looking forward to playing his music in front of a live audience.

People know Kiefer for his distinguished acting career, most recently as Jack Bauer in ’24.’ But for longtime fans, they’ll remember the actor as Ace Merrill in ‘Stand by Me,’ David in ‘The Lost Boys,’ and Curtis Freley in ‘Truth or Consequences, N.M.’

Ticket information for Kiefer Sutherland’s upcoming tour can be located on the actor-musician’s Facebook page. Tune in Sunday, April 3 at 8pm EDT as Kiefer takes the stage as a presenter at the 51st Annual Academy of Country Music awards.
