Love & Hip Hop Miami is happening! Chatter that the VH1 reality TV show was heading to Miami next have been floating around for over a year now, and it has finally been confirmed that the spinoff is happening and it is set to start filming in late April, or early May. The first official Love & Hip Hop Miami cast member, rapper Trick Daddy, spilled the beans during an interview with Bossip.
Trick Daddy confirmed that he had met with the VH1 show creator Mona-Scott Young, and that he was set to start filming in Miami in just a few short weeks. Trick Daddy dished in his interview, “I just met with Mona last week and we’re trying to do this thing right. Put some real Miami bitches and real Miami n—as on the show.”
Trick Daddy went on to reveal that he was bringing a Love & Hip Hop Atlanta alum with him. Apparently, Season 1 of LHHM will feature a storyline regarding Trick Daddy managing Premadonna (LHHA Season 4), and he also is bringing on rapper Mike Smith.
Several sources are reporting – although it has not been confirmed – that Trick Daddy will also be joined by rapper Trina, one of the most infamous female rappers in the game. Basically, Trina is the Remy Ma of Florida, and her wild personality would definitely make for some interesting reality TV.
VH1 and Mona Scott-Young have not shared any details about the show’s premiere. If they are just starting filming and still looking for cast members in May, then the earliest that we would see any episodes of the new reality TV show would be at the end of 2016. Most likely, it won’t be ready to air until some time in 2017.
