Lindsay Lohan was set to star as Linda Lovelace in a new movie Inferno. The director Matthew Wilder originally said they would stick by Lindsay. However, will all the delays due to bail violations etc. they have decided they cannot wait any longer and are seeking another actress to fill the part.
“We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan,” Wilder says. “We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard. We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support,” Wilding says. “Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her—and some other issues—have made it impossible for us to go forward. Lindsay is dedicated to her recovery and together they decided to move forward without her.”
It is really not suprising that this has happened. Each movie insures the actress and actors who are in it. For someone like Lindsay the probability of her having a lelapse is high and another relapse would add more delays to the production. Insurance companies set their premiums based on the probability of a risk and I would imagine if the movie could get a insurance policy on her the premiums would be through the roof.
Lindsay Lohan checked herself into rehab [09.27.10] after failing two drug tests. She is currently residing at sober living facility affiliated with the Betty Ford Center out in Rancho Mirage
