Jamie Dornan’s career has always been very important to the actor, but is he jeopardizing his marriage and family life because of it? That’s what fans can’t help but wonder as the ’Fifty Shades of Grey’ actor hinted that his current situation at home is so demanding that he’s not interested in expanding his family anymore, whether wife Amelia Warner likes it or not.
Jamie Dornan and Amelia Warner’s marriage has always been heavily scrutinized by the media, especially since the British actress spent the last several months by her husband’s side while he filmed the next ’Fifty Shades’ installment in Vancouver.
There’s no doubt that Jamie Dornan was left frustrated after his wife Amelia Warner insisted on being present during almost every day of shooting. With two children now, Amelia Warner sure has her hands tied yet she followed around her husband almost everywhere he went while in Vancouver.
To complicate matters even more, Jamie Dornan is feeling frustrated in both his personal life and career as he’s made it no secret that he’s only using the ’Fifty Shades of Grey’ franchise as a stepping stone in Hollywood.
Considering how much he’s been mocked and ridiculed for being Christian Grey, Jamie Dornan knows that he needs the ’Fifty Shades of Grey’ franchise before he moves on to more serious roles. Yet, with his family dilemma at home, it’s going to be hard for Jamie Dornan to concentrate on his acting if he can’t even manage raising his children and keeping his wife satisfied at the same time.
During an interview on Live! With Kelly this week, Jamie Dornan briefly talked about his life as a father now and said, “We’ve got two little girls now, so it’s pretty insane. One of my best friends said that one is a pet, two is a zoo. It’s been a big adjustment and it’s definitely harder and you get less time to yourself, but human being are very good at adaption.”
What’s more, Jamie Dornan said that even though he’s always dreamed of having a son, he doesn’t want a third child with wife Amelia Warner. He added, “I’ll have a little mini version of myself’ or something in a sort of narcissitical way, but then once you’ve had girls I can’t imagine having [another one].”
Either Jamie Dornan is having issues with his family life at home or he wants to concentrate on finally making his big break in Hollywood. Although he’s become a household name thanks to his role in ’Fifty Shades of Grey,’ Jamie Dornan has made it no secret that he is hungry for bigger and better things.
Unfortunately though, something has got to give and right now it looks like Jamie Dornan is having to choose between his family and career. What do you think, CDL readers?
