That old ham, Dustin Hoffman, managed to twist the arms of Universal Studios for an additional $7.5 million for just 5 days work because they needed to re-shoot some of his scenes in the money making recent release ‘Little Fockers’.
So far they have made 3 high grossing films on the ‘Meet The Parents’ franchise – the original movie was not great but it had its moments – thanks to Robert De Nero but the second film ‘Meet The Fockers’ was pure trash – really hard to watch. Of course this doesn’t seem to bother the movie-going public who sadly made both films big earners. I say sadly because the financial success of the first two movies induced the gang to make this third and hopefully final installment.
Anyway the money went like this – Ben Stiller and De Nero each got $20 million, Owen Wislon and Barbara Streisand both got 7 million, and Jessica Alba had to settle for 3 million. Hey for a scant 3 million they are lucky she bothered to show up.
