It looks like Gwen Stefani wants to set the record straight with Miranda Lambert. Sources say that Gwen is looking to have a ‘showdown’ with Blake Shelton’s ex-wife. She hates the fact that Miranda has been singing about her heartache and divorce drama and simply wants her to stop.
Sources close to the situation say there’s a possibility that Gwen might be jealous of Miranda and her recent album success. Both Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani heavily promoted their albums, but had very little success in sales. Miranda, on the other hand, refused to do any press or interviews, telling the media that the album speaks for itself.
As a result, her album, ‘The Weight of These Wings,’ has been on the top of the charts for several weeks now. Insiders say that is what is bothering Gwen the most. Even though she and Blake have worked so hard to generate publicity with their showmance, it’s Miranda who is walking away as the quiet winner.
Then again, Gwen Stefani has been talking about her divorce from Gavin Rossdale non-stop. Even Gavin himself has said that he wants Gwen to stop talking about their personal issues to the press. Yet, with each interview she does, Gwen constantly talks about how horrible she felt during her marriage and how she feels like a total failure because of it. Back in October, Gavin even told Britain’s The Times, “I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on. It’s, like, enough already. I have an incredible life with [my kids] and that’s what matters. You can’t keep up with all the vitriol. Just don’t get into all that.”
Yet, Gwen Stefani thinks it’s Miranda Lambert who should stop talking about her divorce. Some sources say that Gwen wants a showdown only because she’s jealous of Miranda’s album success.
