General Hospital (GH) spoilers are buzzing about Nelle Hayes’ (Chloe Lanier) blood pressure pill that Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman) found on the floor in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bedroom. Bobbie is better than a blood hound and as protective as a mother bear. How did she spot that small pill? And, can you really tell the difference from one blood pressure pill to another? Well, Miss Bobbie Super Nurse believes she can and did.
So, off she goes to confront Nelle. Nelle answers the door and immediately has an attitude, ah, you can feel the love between them. Bobbie rolls in like a tidal wave coming for Nelle. When Bobbie asks Nelle how the pill got into the bedroom, Nelle tells her she dropped the bottle and they all spilled and she must have missed that one.
Yes, could happen but why were you and your pills in Sonny’s bedroom? Needless to say, Bobbie did not go for that lame excuse. And while words were rolling off her tongue, she agreed with Nelle that it is a good idea to keep away from Michael, her grandson.
But after Bobbie antagonizes Nelle and leaves, Nelle is annoyed. So, to get back at her she texted Michael that she changed her mind about going out for New Year’s Eve. He was pleased and they hooked up for the evening.
With Bobbie not believing Nelle’s excuse, she decides to ask Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), her son-in-law. Sonny is taken off guard when Bobbie stops by and of course, has no idea of how the pill got into his bedroom. But Sonny is looking guilty and Bobbie reads him well. Now she knows, Nelle and Sonny slept together. She’s furious, Sonny is married to her daughter, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and nobody messes with her family.
Bobbie’s concern for Carly is major. Her daughter’s life is difficult now with the death of her son and is concerned for Carly’s reaction when she finds out that Sonny and Nelle have betrayed her. Carly loves Sonny and trusts Nelle; her heart will break.
Bobbie flashes back to darker days when she was married and Carly came into her life after being given up for adoption. Carly slept with her step-father, got married and eventually had a baby with him. Carly was very angry with her mother for giving her up and was doing her best to wreak havoc for her. Bobbie’s concern is that Nelle is doing something similar to Carly… is history about to repeat itself?
Will Bobbie be the one who busts Sonny and Nelle? Does Bobbie begin to think that Nelle could be Carly’s daughter? What mitigates against this particular relationship between Carly and Nelle is that TPTB at GH are unlikely to have Nelle hooking up with Michael who would be her half-brother, otherwise it fits.
