Is Chrissy Metz taking her weight loss seriously? That’s what her fans want to know. In fact, many are worried that she might be delaying ‘This Is Us’ production by not sticking to her weight loss goals, which have been outlined in her contract given that her on-screen character will be undergoing a similar journey. The television actress was spotted arriving in a wheelchair at LAX airport ahead of the Golden Globes this weekend. Chrissy apparently injured her knee during her Christmas break in Florida.
Chrissy Metz is one of the breakout stars of this hit dramedy. She’s named a Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, Comedy or Limited Series nomination for the Golden Globes.
Last season, Chrissy’s character Kate Pearson decided to have gastric bypass surgery. With the procedure, a surgeon makes the patient’s stomach smaller, minimizing their ability to eat big meals. Yet, many critics also believe that patients who agree to the surgery almost always have lifelong gastrointestinal problems and bowel obstructions. Of course, Chrissy herself has said she doesn’t want to go down that route. She wants to take the healthy approach by eating right and working out.
Unfortunately, not everyone is convinced that will happen. Many ‘This Is Us’ fans are worried that Chrissy’s injury will delay production even more. After all, there is no way Chrissy will be able to stick to an exercise regime if she’s tied down to a wheelchair.
According to ET Online though, Chrissy’s rep has denied reports that the actress is delaying the show’s filming schedule. Her rep said in a statement, “We do not anticipate her injury impending production on ‘This Is Us.’ She does appreciate all the well wishes.”
At this point, Chrissy has made no indication that she will be having gastric bypass surgery anytime soon. But she also hasn’t shared her weight loss plan and work out regime.
