Brad Pitt is ready to go back to work again. After dealing with a very nasty and public divorce battle with his soon-to-be ex-wife Angelina Jolie, Brad has just landed a new role in an upcoming film.
Reports say that Brad is set to star in the big budget sci-fi film ‘Ad Astra.’ The film will be directed by James Gray and might start production as early as this summer. Of course, that’s not the only film Brad has in the pipeline. He will also be starring in several upcoming projects including, ‘Okja,’ and ‘War Machine.’ He also helped produce ‘The Lost City of Z,’ which will hit theaters in April.
Angelina filed for divorce in September of last year following an altercation between Brad and their 15-year-old son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt. Insiders claim that Brad and Maddox had a dispute during a flight from Paris to Minneapolis. The incident triggered Angelina to pull the plug on their marriage a week later.
Sure enough, Brad Pitt’s career is now back on track, despite Angelina Jolie’s nasty smear campaign against him last year. He was accused of having alcohol and substance abuse problems and was even investigated for child abuse. The FBI cleared Brad back in November, confirming that he was cleared of any wrongdoing.
If that weren’t enough, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services also cleared Brad of more child abuse allegations. The DCFS concluded that while an argument allegedly ended with physical contact between him and his son Maddox, Brad Pitt did not commit child abuse on the plane.
Still, all of the nasty headlines have taken a serious toll on Brad’s health. He’s lost a considerable amount of weight and has struggled to come to terms with his current situation. Brad recently fought to keep the details of their divorce and custody battle private from the public. He was sick and tired of seeing his divorce make headlines in gossip blogs and tabloid magazines every day. He even accused Angelina Jolie of violating their children’s privacy by releasing their custody case facts to the public.
Of course, many fans aren’t surprised that Brad Pitt is being cast in Hollywood roles again. After all, he’s one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.
