General Hospital (GH) spoilers ask whether the climax of Olivia “Liv” Jerome’s (Tonja Walker) story could coincide with the exit of Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). Official GH spoilers reveal that at least one General Hospital character will die as part of Liv’s revenge plot. Could it be Tracy?
The choice of Tracy is not random for a couple of reasons. First, Liv wants to buy General Hospital for some twisted reason not yet revealed and Tracy is the primary obstacle in her way. Tracy has been the champion of GH throughout the financial crisis and her efforts have saved it so far.
It was Tracy that brought in Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) to try and straighten out GH’s finances and salvage the situation. Hayden has done an admirable job and has helped Tracy find a solution and only had to fire two people. She canned Nurse Amy (Risa Dorken) and then hired her back.
Hayden also fired Franco (Roger Howarth) but GH spoilers tease he’ll have a new job at the hospital soon. That means if Tracy can save the hospital, there will be no jobs lost. Liv is furious that there is an effort by the Quartermaines to try and buy the hospital and cheat her of her revenge.
If there is a face to this effort, it’s Tracy. On Monday, we’ll see Liv has Julian Jerome (William deVry) chained up in her bedroom and she tells him if the vote at the board meeting doesn’t go her way, Julian and his family will all die at her hand, but Tracy may not stop there. Who will Liv kill?
The other reason Tracy may be on the literal chopping block is that Jane Elliot said in an interview last year that she will retire when her current one year contract expires. That could put Jane leaving GH any time between now and April. If the stories aligned, Jane might exit as Liv’s homicide victim.
Would GH kill off a legacy character? They might. Jason Morgan (then Steve Burton) was shot in the back and kicked into the water and presumed dead for years. Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) was also killed off and both are Qs and beloved cast members. So yes, GH might kill Tracy.
Liv proved she’s a monster when she shoved poor pregnant Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) off a bridge and blew Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) to bits. Killing a woman she sees as a powerful rival would be no big deal to Liv given her homicidal history and her shaky mental health.
With a promised character death, it could be almost anyone. There’s little doubt Sam and Jason will survive and there are other actors we know signed contract renewals recently or already have longer contracts that won’t be up for renewal for quite a while. That narrows the choices of whom to kill.
It’s more likely to be a recurring character or someone whose contract is about to expire. That includes people like Nurse Amy or Valerie Spencer (Brytni Sarpy) or even Tracy. The character death is coming by mid-March when Liv Jerome exits – and who knows, the death could be Liv herself.
