General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that the new Cassadine marriage may implode not too long after the custody case verdict comes in – will Nina Clay Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) go off the deep end when her marriage fails? Should Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) be afraid?
Nina will sit shoulder to shoulder with Valentin as the Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) custody case plays out. Nina is heavily invested in having a child and Charlotte seems to be as close as she can get given her own inability to bear biological children.
Nina seems more dedicated to Charlotte than to Valentin after his interest in Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has become undeniable. There is more history between Valentin and Anna than we’ve seen. Anna’s memories are returning in pieces but more is yet to be revealed.
Remember the WSB guy that showed up out of the blue to tell Anna she put a death warrant on Valentin? He also told her not to believe what Valentin said. It seemed strange that the guy popped in out of nowhere then was never seen again – plus the Valentin file on her laptop disappeared.
Anna rejecting Valentin the night he tried to kiss her is not the end of their past history together. Anna was missing for over a decade with profound amnesia and there are hints that Valentin and Anna may have connected in her gap years she can’t recall.
GH spoilers revealed recently that Anna’s memories will come back and she’ll finally know everything about her past with Valentin. Anna is obsessed with Valentin and there is more to it than GH fans know. There is an attraction between them and both feel it.
Worse yet, Nina has noticed it. Nina took note of Valentin sitting by Anna’s side when she was unconscious holding her hand like an attentive lover. Nina almost walked away from the custody trial because of this but she relented mostly to get back at Laura Spencer (Genie Francis).
So while Nina is playing nice for the court, she’s not ready to be Valentin’s forgiving wife and as soon as the custody verdict is in, all bets may be off for their marriage. Valentin loves Nina but that’s a new love. What he feels for Anna is deeper and has long ties to his complicated history.
Valentin is worried about Anna’s illness and her health and doesn’t want to be a source of stress in her life. Valentin will go to Anna soon and offer her a truce to end the animosity between them. Anna will accept but she’s still intrigued by their shared past and can’t stop thinking about him.
Nina has already let Valentin know she won’t play the fool for him but she’s holding all her crazy together just long enough for them to get the verdict. Once Charlotte’s custody fate is sealed, one way or the other, Nina won’t be able to contain her jealousy anymore.
Nina will push Valentin with an ultimatum over Anna and this could mean the end of their marriage. Are Valentin and Nina headed for Splitsville? Will this clear the way for a romance between Anna and Valentin? Share your comments below on the fracturing Cassadine marriage.
