The Young and the Restless spoilers and casting news for new Y&R episodes report that ABC has added two new cast members to the Genoa City canvas. SOD first broke the story that Y&R has decided to age Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) children. Actors Lexie Stevenson and Noah Alexander Gerry will be replacing McKenna Roberts and Brandin Stennis in their The Young and the Restless roles of Mattie and Charlie Ashby, respectively.
With Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) teenage son Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) returning to Genoa City earlier this year, it seems that Y&R is poised to build up their cast of teens just in time for summer when that target audience is more likely to be home for linear TV viewing. There is no word yet as to how the SORAS’d young Ashbys will fit into The Young and the Restless new teen scene.
The only The Young and the Restless spoilers released so far are that Mattie and Charlie “are as different as night and day.” So far Lexie Stevenson and Noah Alexander Gerry are being tight-lipped about their roles, only retweeting their casting news and words of congratulation on twitter.
Both Noah Alexander Gerry and Lexie Stevenson are relatively unknown to television audiences. According to Stevenson’s website, she moved to Los Angeles in late 2016 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Stevenson posted a video on her Instagram page thanking her family, friends, and managers for their support.
Lexie even teased that a full video would be coming later, presumably on another social media site that allows for more than 15 seconds of video. A statement accompanying her Instagram video says, in part, “thank you so much to everyone who has helped me get to this point in my life. I can’t wait for everyone to see me on @youngandrestlesscbs. Again thank you everyone. I couldn’t be happier.”
As for Noah Alexander Gerry, the only credit listed on the IMDb page bearing his name is for the Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm, a show he appeared on in 2011.
Lexie Stevenson and Noah Alexander Gerry are set to make their The Young and the Restless debut on May 24. CDL will be following all aspects of this story, including the actors’ social media to bring you the latest updates as they unfold.
