Director Roman Polanski’s latest movie Carnage brings an all star cast together including Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz. Carnage is by Yasmina Reza and the play was originally called “God Of Carnage” and I saw it on Broadway it was great it starred Lucy Liu at the time. It was basically a one scene play that lasted about one hour and a half so I am curious how they will turn it into a movie.
The movie is set in New York City condo and is about two sets of parents meeting for a cordial dinner after their children get into a fight and the parents trade insults. Needless to say the movie was NOT shot in New York City since Roman Polanski would not show up in the US for fear of being arrested.
There is a lot of wit in the play and I don’t really see Jodie Foster as being that funny but you never now. What do you think of these actors in the play? Will you go see it? The movie is expected to be released later in the year.
