The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Scott (Daniel Hall) will become a couple after Zack (Ryan Ashton) is written out of the story. Hardcore daytime devotees knew that Ashton’s character wasn’t long for the fictional world of Genoa City as soon as Zack was unmasked as head of the sex ring.
Various characters, including Scott, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) are aware of Mr. Stinnett’s real story. So it seems as though Zack only has the crescendo and the climax left to play out.
Ashton’s work has been stellar, as he’s taken a detestable personality and made Zack somewhat sympathetic. Recent revelations about his backstory seem likely to be deepened.
The apparent origin of this character’s motives were explained during Zack’s heartfelt breakup voice mail message that was left for Abby. Zabby’s next-day reconciliation also may have resulted in a pregnancy. But that issue has yet to be addressed. As Y&R fans will learn soon, any Abby pregnancy will be muddied once Scott and Abby do the nasty – which they do on today’s new Y&R episode, November 16.
Meanwhile, Ordway’s character remained blissfully unaware of her boyfriend’s double life. That plot point doesn’t fit with Y&R having written Abby past lunkhead status more than a year ago. As devoted fans recall, the former Mrs. Stitch demonstrated magnificent poise during the Mad Max (Jared Breeze) arc. That breakthrough storyline appeared to signal that Abby would no longer be portrayed as a bratty teenager trapped in the body of a lady in her early 30’s.
However, it could be that executive producer and head writer Mal Young will put Abby back on track at some point.
With however Zack’s ending happens, and it’s looking to be sudden and violent, Scabby has already been positioned as Y&R’s next couple. Thursday, November 16 they have sex while still captive in the storage locker. Scott and Abby have obvious chemistry, which is why they’ve clashed to-date. The possibility of their eventual pairing was implied by Victor (Eric Braeden) having pitted his two employees against each other. Time then allowed an organic rivalry to develop.
Shott fans might refuse to acknowledge it, but Scott was the character swap for Dylan (Steve Burton). Scott and Sharon are nice, but Abby and Scott possess true passion. Conflict and danger elicit strong emotion from the audience, and Scott and Abby have endured both, which is why Scabby seems inevitable.
