The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) believes her relationship with Scott (Daniel Hall) is progressing. Even though she didn’t want to revisit a vulnerable admission she made to Scott while he was chasing Zack (Ryan Ashton) and Abby (Melissa Ordway), her love for this man (which she stated during an unheard part of a phone conversation) has been growing. However, she doesn’t know what happened between Scott and Abby and may not be prepared for another woman’s interest in Mr. Grainger as well.
The Scott character has somewhat polarized Y&R’s audience. Some female fans do see him as attractive, while others believe the shaggy-haired guy is far from desirable. Sharon does care for him and that’s the plot point to be explored in this feature.
A focus on what is, rather than what fans may want is important. Yet, it’s also true that viewer’s opinions can push the needle depending upon how much social media pressure is applied. For the moment it appears as though enough of the fan base is okay with Shott, but is also withholding full judgment until this couple is further developed, or devolved.
Chemistry obviously existed between Scott and Abby from early in their non-collegial arrangement that Victor (Eric Braeden) orchestrated. The Moustache wanted a team of rivals, which is a term often reserved for other arenas.
The Zack arc was always going to end with Abby being destroyed and Scott picking up the pieces, or so some seemed to believe. Yes, Ashton’s character was a bad guy whose shelf-life proved to be limited. However, Abby actually comforted Scott when they were trapped in the storage unit.
Scabby’s resulting moments of passion surely could result in Abby being pregnant. Would Mal Young have Sharon, who turns 47 in real life, become pregnant again instead, or along with Abby?
In Genoa City time Sharon is approximately 40, as this character debuted as a high-schooler in 1994. So, it’s plausible that Sharon could have Scott’s baby if Y&R wants to tie these characters together longterm, whether or not they remain together, or get married.
With whatever course is pursued, Scott will be portrayed as an eligible bachelor. Abby and potentially, a new media-related woman will make their play for Sharon’s man as time flows.
Scott has already demonstrated that he’ll stray from whatever commitment he’s made to Sharon. Seeing him veer away from her again shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone except Case’s character. And anyone who knows Sharon understands that she’ll fight for whatever man she loves as best she can.
