The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that the ever-conflicted Liam (Scott Clifton) remains befuddled even though Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) gave him the signed annulment papers he’d requested. The ultimatum then shifted to Liam.
Bill (Don Diamont) did Steffy a major favor. He agreed to let Taylor (Hunter Tylo) remain out of prison, even though she shot him in the back like a coward would. Her obvious deranged act was spurred by Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) call to Taylor months ago, which no one knew about until this past week, April 16-20.
But, Bill’s directive to Steffy did come with an important caveat. While he believes Liam wants to reform a relationship with Hope (Annika Noelle), Bill did allow the possibility of Steam reconciling. That’s actually was his initial desire, but Liam hasn’t followed through to-date.
It’s hard to know what Liam will do. The binding draw of his forthcoming daughter would appear to indicate that Steffy still has a chance to work things out with her husband. But Hope has revived her place in his life and continues to make inroads each time she sees him.
Steffy didn’t want to sign the annulment agreement. But Bill’s coercion made her do it for her mother. She did tell Liam that she hoped he wouldn’t accept that their marriage was over, but wanted to give him his freedom if he wanted it.
Liam found it surprising that his wife had suddenly come to this decision. He doesn’t want her to be stressing, due to the pregnancy. But he seemed to accept her explanation that she’d recognized he’d been hurt and felt it best to do as he requested and sign the legal document.
Hope’s influence has grown mightily since she returned from Europe. Initially offering strong resistance to Liam’s marriage abandonment plan, Hope changed her mind when she learned full details about the situation he was in. Her intoxicating presence sways Liam to a great degree. She’s clearly at least a match for Steffy, if not actually the woman who will defeat her.
Considering that the mystery surrounding Bill’s shooter has apparently been solved, Liam should be thinking far more clearly. Ideally he would chose his wife and child. But self-centeredness is promoted in this fictional Los Angeles world. So possibly Liam will opt to return to his one-time true love and leave Steffy alone during the pregnancy.
