Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that we’ve got some big comings and goings news to pass along. For starters, a major exit recently created some buzz in the soap world. Christopher Sean has decided to leave the role of Paul so he can pursue other projects. He’s already finished filming his final scenes, so his last airdate should be this fall.
Thanks to a post from Sean’s costar, we now know a bit more about Paul’s upcoming exit. On Instagram, Freddie Smith (Sonny) decided to give away a mug signed by both himself and Sean. There are still some loyal “PaulSon” fans out there, so he wanted to do something special. Of course, Smith also gave a shout-out to Sean and that’s where the clue comes in.
Smith gushed, “We will dearly miss him on the show! Christopher is so talented and one of the most genuine professional people I’ve ever worked with. I wish him much success in life! I hope Paul will return to Salem sometime in the future!!”
Since Smith’s hoping Paul will come back someday, that lets us know there won’t be a recast – at least not immediately. There’s always a chance DOOL will bring in someone else later, but it’s doubtful. It doesn’t sound like Paul will be killed off either. You never know since there’s back-from-the-dead serum, but we’d bet on Paul leaving town. Smith’s comments seem to point in that direction.
On Twitter, Chandler Massey (Will) took a lighthearted approach to saying goodbye. “He’s not gone. He’s just wearing an invisibility cloak from now on,” Massey joked. It was certainly a fun way to bid Sean farewell.
There’s some other huge soap news and it involves Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) comeback. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Nicole will return for another stint starting this October. Many “Ericole” fans are keeping their fingers crossed for a reunion. Nicole and Eric (Greg Vaughan) really sizzle on screen, so that’d be great to see.
In the meantime, Days spoilers state that Xander (Paul Telfer) will find incriminating proof. He’ll exit with information that could destroy Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Nicole’s lives, so they could be in big trouble over all the Deimos (Vincent Irizzary) drama. It’ll be a while before it all blows up, but the chaos should be worth the wait.
