Midnight, Texas begins with Kai (Nestor Carbonell) healing another person, who is happy but wants to know how he did it. Olivia (Arielle Kebbel) talks about how Kai saved Manfred (Francois Arnaud) and they are all grateful. Lemuel (Peter Menusah) reminds Joe (Jason Lewis) that they all have their quirks and that is what Midnight is all about; Manfred looks at the new waitress, really missing Creek (Sarah Ramos). Joe tells him it is okay to miss her, but Manfred tells them all he is fine.

Meanwhile the boy whose are Kai just fixed is undressing and a dark mist emerges from his bed and shoves him into the bathtub, something Manfred witnesses from the street; the ghost begins to drown. Manfred finds Patience (Jamie Ray Newman) at the front desk, explaining about the ghost but by the time they get to the room, the boy is dead. She is shocked to learn that ghosts can actually kill people. Kai says it looks like the boy hit his head and drowned; Patience wants to move right away but Manfred says the ghost is only in the room so just don’t rent out the room until he figures out what to do.

Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley) shows Bobo (Dylan Bruce) all her dead plants and he thinks it might be due to the fan, but the second he goes to touch it, the fan begins to spin. Fiji believes it might be something demonic doing this, but he tries to reassure her asking her not to obsess.

Joe shows Manfred and Patience an article of Carolyn Baker (Kristen DeVore Rakes), who had drowned in that exact room in the hotel and the previous owner just upped and moved. Olivia is out line dancing when a couple of townies are hitting on her, when they irritate her she suggests bringing them somewhere more private, but Lemual shows up, flashing his fangs and they bolt out of the bar. She becomes annoyed at first, saying she isn’t used to letting someone else take care of her, but she will get used to it. Another woman swears she saw his fangs, but he tells her there is no such things as Vampires.

Manfred returns to the room, telling Patience to stay out, he surrounds himself with salt and calls upon Carolyn to show herself. Carolyn begs him to leave, saying she isn’t the one who drowned the man and she didn’t drown herself either, revealing her husband is there. He appears and quickly starts to drown Manfred. Patience opens the door and Manfred thanks her for not listening to him, informing her that Bruce is the problem, after he drowned his wife he shot himself.

At home, Olivia is a total bitch and angry with Lemuel who wants to severe their connection; he says the only way is to make her a vampire. She only wants him to back off. Joe retrieves a box from Bobo, who also tells him he gave his number to Walker who knows he is an angel. Fiji comes into the shop who is obsessed with knowing what killed her plants. He tries to distract her by kissing her and she pulls him out of the way before some antlers fly down and kill him. She is certain something supernatural is trying to kill Bobo.

Kai needs the hotel for his work so Manfred feels they need to call Fiji, as she is the “big guns.” At the bar, Fiji is being overly protective and won’t allow Bobo to even use a knife to cut limes. Lemuel is drinking, saying he only started drinking when he got married. Dawnetter (Marissa Cuevas) comes back to the bar where a man walks into the bar and grabs her purse demanding money. When he isn’t looking, she slips sulfur into his drink telling him she doesn’t think he will be in any condition to drive. He wakes up, she shows him her teeth telling him she needed him to do what she wanted.

Lemuel tries to explain the situation to Olivia, who has a dagger in her hands. She promises she won’t kill her but this woman is not sleeping on her couch. He says its a good thing they have a psychic connection, or how else would he know she is angry.

Patience and Manfred come to see Fiji, who agrees to help them with a spell to rid the hotel of a ghost. Manfred returns to the hotel, needing to understand what happened when she died, asking her to enter him so he can see what she saw. Bruce thought she was having an affair, which she wasn’t so he killed her; both ghosts enter him as they tell their side of the story. Manfred won’t help obsessed Bruce, telling Patience he saw everything, as he wanted the two of them emtombed in the hotel forever.

Olivia brings home some blood home for the “stripper” in the coffin, but she is gone. Olivia is ready to kill her.

Manfred and Patience dig for the blue prints of the hotel, as Manfred comments on the painting. Patience says it has been in her family forever; however she doesn’t know who it is but she likes it that way because then the woman can be whoever she wants her to be. Manfred is able to find the room where Bruce took his wife before he shot himself. Patience is shocked to think there could be two dead bodies in the hotel all this time, but Manfred says in Midnight there are skeletons in closets, walls and floor boards everywhere!

Bobo comes to see Joe, wondering what is going on because he seems to be off lately. Once Bobo leaves the room, Joe opens the box he got earlier and smirks as he looks at the blade that is inside. Olivia and Lemuel continue to look for the new vampire but he wants to know why she has this inability to rely on people. She reminds him that the last person she trusted was her step mother. Olivia realizes Dawnette is at the strip club seeking revenge. Dawnette spots her boyfriend inside with another stripper and quickly takes the stage, showing her fangs.

Manfred uses a sledgehammer, saying he wants to go see Creek soon, wanting to have the grownup talk insisting him and Creek are not done. They are able to breech the wall and find both the skeletal remains. Meanwhile, Lemuel and Olivia find that Dawnette has been to the strip club but it’s clear she isn’t done. She approaches the hotel with two other girls, all with fangs showing now; Lemuel knows where they are headed.

Manfred and Fiji begin the ritual after they learn all the guests were sent on a spiritual retreat. Manfred wants Fiji to hurry up as he is the only one who can see him. Patience oversteps the line but the wife is able to save her and the wife tells Manfred “thank you” and “there’s secret behind woods.” Downstairs some of the staff are attacked by the new vampires while the power is out just as Olivia and Lemuel arrive.

Olivia is dealing with one, but when it looks like she is about to get her butt kicked, Lemuel kills the stripper; making Olivia angry. This causes the one that Lemuel was dealing with to bite another human, Olivia tells him that she has got this and kills her. Dawnette finds Kai in the basement, saying all she wanted was a chance and he couldn’t even give her that. She feels he is just like all the others and now he is going to beg, showing him her teeth.

Manfred talks to Patience about heading to Austin. He admits that Creek is right, if he really loves her, he needs to let her go. They see the dead person in the pool and Manfred informs her it was a vampire, she worries about Kai. Lemuel finds Dawnette, telling her that Kai doesn’t deserve this and he explains that every death will weigh on her for the rest of her life, just like her friends. He wants to teach her how to deal with being a vampire but Kai says he can take the vampire out of her, as energy is energy. She wants to be human again and Kai does it, taking the blue energy out of her mouth; Dawnette says her hunger is gone as Manfred is shocked that he can make supernaturals human again.

Manfred tells Joe what he saw; Manfred is not tempted to give up his powers at all. Joe has a whole different kind of energy and is stuck like that. Olivia doesn’t trust Kai and Manfred doesn’t think that she is wrong either. Olivia tells Lem that he cannot chase and help her every time he feels she is in danger, even if he wishes he could. She doesn’t know what to do.

Fiji is terrified of losing Bobo just after they found each other, she hopes she is just over reacting and maybe it was the potion. Just as they being to kiss a blade comes flying at them and she stops it before it stabs him. She realizes the plants died the day he moved in and they had sex. They make out at the pawn shop and the chandelier fell and now this? She is scared to even touch him until she figures out how to stop this.

Kai talks to Sequoia (Claire Bryett Andrew) about their next client and leaves his office. Manfred sneaks into his office, remembering the ghost’s words and slides the painting to reveal the human head in the cage, when Manfred touches it he sees a vision of a sword slicing the head off and a bright light throws him back across the room knocking him unconscious.

THE END!
