Patience (Jamie Ray Newman) tends to Manfred (Francois Arnaud), who is freaked out about the severed head in the birdcage. Patience says it’s not what he thinks as it Kai’s (Nestor Carbonell) ancestors and that is where he gets all his juju from. He reveals he came there because Carolyn’s parting words were there are “secrets behind the woods.” Patience suggests next time he is curious about something he should just ask her. She hugs him and her hair gets caught in his bracelet, which he pockets before leaving.
At home, Bobo (Dylan Bruce) is showering while Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley) fantasizes about him. Bobo falls outside of the shower and ends up getting 32 stitches. She realizes its even thinking about sex that puts them in danger. She worries again that it wasn’t an accident and the safest thing for them both is for them to stay apart until she figures this out.
Joe (Jason Lewis) shares how Kai can take the supernatural ability out of people and make them human again. Olivia (Arielle Kebbel) joins them, saying Kai hasn’t just done that; he’s also saved their asses twice. Madonna (Kellee Stewart) feels they should drive Kai and his people out of their town and let Midnighters be, but Rev. Emilio Sheehan (Yul Vazquez) makes a valid point since its Hunter’s moon, given the opportunity, do they throw it off, or have the faith they can carry the burden placed on them?
Fiji is using her Wicca class, revealing to Manfred about her situation with Bobo. He apologizes because he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to Bobo but while she is waiting to link up to a spiritual hotspot he needs her help. Manfred tells her about the severed head in the cage and asks her to do an intention spell on Patience to see if she is telling the truth. They burn her hair and the smoke is white, proving Patience is trustworthy, but when the chanting stops; Fiji finds out she is the one who is hurting Bobo as all fingers point to her.
Manfred jumps in and wants to take a peek as to who they got; but when Manfred begins to shake and his nose bleeds, Fiji breaks the circle. Manfred reveals that he saw her Aunt Mildred. Chuy (Bernardo Saracino) stays home to stay safe under the Hunter’s Moon, but Joe takes off to meet with Walker (Josh Kelly) as Manfred shares that Mildred was in a witch hell, he could tell by the sulfur smell. Fiji is determined to talk to her, refusing to lose Bobo. Manfred knows how dangerous it will be to go and find her Aunt’s ghost but he won’t let anything happen to Fiji and Bobo.
Olivia brings the chains to the church for tonight before the Rev changes; she feels she can handle him but he suggests that Lemuel (Peter Mensah) should do it. He hugs her, thanking her for always being part of them.
10 YEARS EARLIER
An elderly man was changing his tire when he was attacked by Emilio, he was barely alive but the man told him that God will save him and died. Its something Emilio always remembered. Walker kisses Joe as a diversion for the demons who might recognize them from years ago. Together, they follow the car to go kill those demons, Joe with the dagger he retrieved.
Manfred does research on Hexennacht while Fiji calls him, saying them being apart must be working. She tells him that Manfred is going to help her contact her Aunt Mildred (Bellina Martin Logan). Meanwhile, Madonna is at Bobo’s bar is texting Philip Charity whose asked if she has gotten it yet? She says she is working on it. Madonna tells Olivia that true love is all that matters, her and Lemuel may be different but it’s all that matters.
Joe and Walker continue their journey as Walker asks about his marriage but Joe doesn’t reveal much about Chuy. Manfred gathers supplies for his journey to witch hell but is stopped when Patience invites him for a drink, which he turns down to help a friend. He agrees to another night as she says she feels safer knowing he is close by. She offers him to rent a space from the hotel, and he feels it would give him a chance to get to know Kai better too. Joe takes off his shirt and they walk Into the warehouse, where they are quickly surrounded by the demons.
Joe and Walker work well together as they take out all the demons, outside they shower off all the dirty and demon blood off of them; things get intense but before they can kiss, Joe says he needs to go and leaves.
Lemuel finds Rev. Emilio Sheehan outside digging his own grave, wanting an explanation. He tells Lemuel how he ended up in the old deserted church in Midnight, the same night he met Lemuel; that the real Father Sheehan was a better man than he ever could be and even asked God to forgive him before he died. Lemuel comforts him, saying he is the soul of the town and blessed them, their weapons and since he has come to Midnight he has done God’s work and is a man of faith!
Fiji and Manfred make the circle as he explains that while Aunt Mildred is there he literally has to take her place in Hexennacht, so he pleads with her to keep the reunion short because if any witch touches him while he is down there he is damned there forever.
Meanwhile, back at the bar, Madonna cuts Olivia and quickly leaves the bar, messaging Philip Charity, saying she has done what he asked but won’t do it again.
Fiji lights the candles as Manfred does the chant, with Fiji calling out for Mildred’s help. They quickly change places and Fiji is able to hug her aunt, she tells Fiji that their family is cursed by dark witches and that is why bad things keep happening to Bobo. Manfred is screwed because his flashlight keeps going out. He lights a flare, shouting for Fiji to hurry. She finds out this started 800 years ago, and this curse is eventually going to destroy Bobo, and her aunt says the only way she could keep the man she loved is by turning him into a cat.
Mildred says the curse has nothing to do with sex; Fiji pulls Manfred back out telling him that Mildred had an answer for her but not the one she wanted it. As long as Bobo loves Fiji, he is going to die.
Lemuel tells Emilio it is time to go to the cellar, but he reveals that he went to see Kai before he left on his retreat and cured him. He feels like he betrayed everyone, but Lemuel doesn’t judge him but he has made peace with who he is. Emilio is leaving Midnight, saying he has been trapped with this curse his whole life and now he can roam the world without worrying about hurting anyone; he has to leave, promising to see them all again one day. When asked his real name, he tells Lemuel to call him “Rev.”
Chuy finds Joe shaving, saying he needed a change. Manfred finds Patience in setting up his new office, informing him that Kai agreed that they could use their very own ghost whisperer. He wants to know if Kai can remove a witch’s curse. She says his powers don’t work like that when Kai says it is for a friend. Kai calls and upsets Patience when he says he will be gone for another couple days, hanging up telling Manfred that this trip was supposed to be a romantic getaway but instead Kai took Lyric and Sequoia. Manfred suggests they should go get those drinks and she agrees that it’s a date.
Lemuel comes to check on Olivia, as he sensed something earlier. She says it was just a couple of drunks playing with knives. She thanks him, saying true love is all that matters and the rest they will figure out. She wants him to come to bed at least until the sun comes up but he’s called everyone to church because of Rev.
At church, everyone lights a candle for Rev. Emilio Sheehan. When everyone leaves, Bobo wants to know what Mildred said and Fiji reveals the reason all this is happening if because they are not meant to be because he is not the one and they are over! She keeps walking out of the church, leaving Bobo alone at the front of the church.
THE END!
