Lip (Jeremy Allen White) and Tami (Kate Miner) wake up together as her roommate interrupts them, using her deodorant. Debbie (Emma Kenney) uses the toilet as Fiona is in the shower, but as soon as she is done, Frank walks in saying he needs to “piss like a racehorse!”

Tami’s roommates all call Lip “Jabby”, and tell him if he is going to spend a lot of nights where he can start paying rent; which Tami says no way since Byron is always there and does nothing. Meanwhile, Carl takes down the tent and Kelly says goodbye to her dad “Major” (Brent Huff); he questions her on the Naval boats, and when she makes a mistake he tells her to “tight up her loose ends, Sailor” and tells her to enjoy her day at a softball camp. Carl hops into the truck down the lane and together they take off.

Kevin (Steve Howey) opens the bar, where Hazel greets them and Kevin informs them that today is the day he will finally get a son, with Veronica (Shanola Hampton). They are getting a 12 yr old foster son named Santiago. Kevin is all excited about finally have a son, talking about building a man cave. Kelly and Carl talk about what is the best war movie ever until he notices there are scooters all over the sidewalks and hops out to steal it and sell it where in the Southside; Kelly finds that hot!

Fiona walks by and sees that they are going to knock down the building she owned and build condos. Kelly and Carl return home, where they bring McDonald’s for Debbie and still agree to watch Dexter. Ingrid (Katey Sagal) happily greets Frank with several kisses and she tells him it’s a surprise where they are going; Frank says he loves surprises as Liam (Christian Isaiah) was one! He steals Debbie’s breakfast as he goes; but as soon as Frank leaves, the power goes out in the house.

Fiona barges into the restaurant as Debbie walks down the street, discovering they are the only ones without power. She calls Fiona, who doesn’t answer as she is furious at Max for selling the building. Eliza (Rebecca Field) walks into the office and tells her they are out and she has ordered the supplies; plus the ice machine is broken and he will be there today. Fiona thanks her, saying there is nothing wrong.

Ingrid surprises Frank, revealing she has frozen her eggs. She tells Frank she has always wanted to be a mother, and now Frank has given her a second chance. She asks him to fertilize her eggs and he readily agrees. Debbie calls the power company, learning all the bills have been going to her sister’s old address.

Kevin and Veronica are parked outside the place called Thousand Lights Programs (CASA DE ORO); walk inside to go see May (Rhonda Stubbins White). As they sit there, ICE arrives with dozens of kids with foil blankets and Kevin believes they are all runners. Kevin wants to rename their son as RJ and hopes he plays baseball.

Fiona grabs some orange juice and fills it with vodka, but as she goes to collect the money from the tables and drops some change, she sees gum on the bottom of several tables. She reprimands all the customers for doing this as Eliza wonders what is wrong with her.

Debbie is on her job site where she reveals that they are two months behind over 2 months and none of the other bills have been paid either. Tami arrives at the shop, telling Lip she has a cool apartment she wants them to check out; but he says he doesn’t get a lunch break. Tami shouts at Brad (Scott Michael Campbell) for not giving his employees a break and says Lip will be back in an hour.

Kelly and Carl take another scooter outside a yoga studio but they get caught. Carl tells the woman if she pays him ten bucks he will rent it to her; knowing it is technically racketeering. When she is ungrateful, she gives Carl $15 as the others walk away, saying the neighborhood is going to crap.

Kevin and Veronica begin to sign the papers as May tell them she will be right back. She returns with Santiago, who can’t speak a word of English except for the national anthem. Kevin feels that is beautiful. Lip says he is only getting a studio apartment if he gets one, but Tami tells him she isn’t having sex on a day bed for the rest of her life. Lip secretly tells Tami that the realtor has the biggest dick he has ever seen. Tami makes fun of him, insisting it isn’t real and they bolt!

Carl and Kelly follow one of the men from the yoga studio, who keep pushing him to rent a scooter. He calls them assholes, as Kelly says this is totally worth it. Frank and Ingrid go to the reproductive center where he is to leave his sample. Frank returns from the bathroom, saying their material is sub-par and it’s from the 70s so he feels like he is watching his parents have sex. The cup is empty, as he asks for porn from the 90s and no crazy people having sex. He is allowed to bring Ingrid in but is told how sterile it has to be. Unfortunately for everyone in the clinic, they can hear Ingrid and Frank getting it on in the bathroom.

Fiona leaves to go to the bank, telling Eliza to stay on gum patrol; instead, she goes to the corner store to buy cigarettes. Tami tells Lip that one of them has a place so they can have a “fuck pad”; both agreeing on something has to be done, but he says the basement can be converted to a bedroom. She admits that she used to date Byron and can’t stand him. He offers for her to stay at his place tonight, but she tells him if she is going to stay in that dump, there need to be some changes.

Kevin and Veronica return to the bar to introduce everyone to Santiago. She apologizes as she mentions that Santiago can’t speak English but can sing the National Anthem, and he begins to sing again; everyone in the bar is in awe of his voice. Tommy says he can speak Spanish, but can only say 3 words from his job site.

Debbie continues to call all the utility companies, making up lies as she goes to make sure the family doesn’t lose everything. Fiona sits outside on the sidewalk with a homeless woman, drinking and smoking as they stare at the sign for the new condos; with the words “c*cksucker” and “douchebag” painted on them. Fiona learns that the homeless woman used to be a music teacher and it was MP3s that destroyed the industry. She gives her the scratch ticket and she wins 2 bucks while she writes “Old People Suck” on the sign. Debbie uses a different excuse at each utility place, paying a little on each bill.

Frank learns he has an extremely low sperm count; he doesn’t believe it as he already has 6 ungrateful children. The Dr shows him the video of his sperm, all of them are dead but one that is moving in extremely slow motion. He tells her about all the medications he is on, as she is sorry they can’t successful fertilize Ingrid’s eggs with his sperm. Frank begs for another chance, saying if he did it at home she can see what his boys can do. He is given 2 hours, outside the room, Frank tells Ingrid it is good news as they observe his sperm for a few hours. He gets some “walking around” money and says he will be right back.

Debbie brings Farhad (Peter Banifaz) home and they have a beer. Debbie updates Carl on forking out $1700 for bills and tells them that everyone needs to step up and the Squirrel fund is back. Kelly is impressed with her.

Santiago is busy mopping the bar when Kevin brings out a baseball and gloves. Santiago throws it extremely hard, which thrills Kevin saying, “He brought the heat!” The lady from up the street sits with Santiago asking him his favorite foods and things, but they learn he has no idea where his family is. The government put his dad in a detention center and sent him and his sister in another center. Veronica is shocked that he has family here but Kevin says that he is theirs now, as they signed the paperwork but Veronica says they can’t keep him because he has another family.

Carl grabs a beer from the fridge and sees that the temperature has been adjusted and he lowers it again. Kelly learns they can make more money charging up the scooters, all they have to do is register on the website. Frank walks in, asking Carl to speak in private. Frank says Kelly looks sad and it is definitely from lack of sex. He bets Carl $20 can’t rub one out in 3 minutes; Carl tells him he will do it for $100 but when Frank hands him the cup, he says he needs proof. Frank sits outside the bathroom, talking to Carl but he is done in less than a minute. Frank rushes out of the house.

Fiona returns to the restaurant, showing all the customers about the gum retrieved from under the table. Eliza hands out the jar allowing people to guess how many pieces are in there and whoever guesses right will get a 12 pack of beer.

Kelly and Carl continue to take the scooters, even throwing people off of them to steal them. Lip and Tami come home, where Lip gives money for the squirrel fund. Farhad leaves as the two go to the basement; Tami thinks the basement smells like something died down there, wondering if this was also a homeless camp and asks if Silence of the Lambs was filmed there.

Ingrid is excited and wants to say a little prayer with Frank at the fertility clinic. They share a kiss when the doctor returns to tell Frank that it is a miracle, as the sperm count is through the roof. She is extremely optimistic that Ingrid will get pregnant and encourages Ingrid to thank Frank.

Tami checks out the bathroom, as Lip says he uses the dish detergent to bathe in. Tami feels now that he is in his 20s he should have at least two bath towels that match; he says he is just grateful to not be in jail. Tami chastises Lip and Debbie about microwaving a sponge, and throws it out, telling them to buy new ones. She grabs a box full of underwear where Lip and Debbie say they all share underwear; Tami is surprised as Lip says it is just a suggestion that she doesn’t stay there as she was never asked to.

Fiona is stopped by one of her customers, who says he is allergic to eggs. She says she is allergic to people who are whiny and allergic to food. He leaves, calling her rude. Carl rides the scooter through the house, saying he can make money from charging them. Debbie says power isn’t free but he assures her he isn’t using their power! Kelly and Carl sneak into a neighbor’s yard and hook up the electrical cord from their place.

Frank arrives at the bar, trying to shove Fiona off the one stool. Kevin and Veronica explain Santiago’s story, as some agree with the situation while others disagree that they shouldn’t be complaining as they have a roof over their head and food in their bellies. As soon as Fiona says the word “brave”, Santiago tries to sing but Kevin stops them. A new customer walks in and tries to buy Fiona a drink, but when he offers her some drugs, Kevin throws him out, saying he doesn’t like him; Frank dives for the bottle of drugs.

Tami hates the animal scratching noise, so Lip pounds on the wall and it stops. Kevin carries in an excessively drunk Fiona, who is passed out. They surround her, as Lip explains to Tami that Fiona has been doing this a lot lately; they cover her in a blanket on the couch and go back to bed.
