The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that the baby swap storyline will bring plenty more twists and turns. Now that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has adopted “Phoebe Forrester” (Rosalind Aune and Isabella de Armes), B&B can let the real bonding begin. Steffy felt an instant connection with her new little girl. That connection will only grow stronger as time goes on.
Of course, baby stories like this tend to take many months to play out. If Steffy learned the truth right now, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. She already loves “Phoebe,” but she wouldn’t be attached enough for it to really matter. The Bold and the Beautiful has to make Steffy a real family with “Phoebe” and Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington and Chloe Teperman). They have to let Mommy’s love bloom.
It looks like that’s exactly what they’re going to do. While Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) continues to drown in grief, Steffy’s heart will fill with more and more joy. Her dream of a sister for Kelly has come true, so she couldn’t be happier.
As “Phoebe” grows and reaches important milestones, Steffy will keep bonding with her. She’ll truly feel like “Phoebe’s” mom because she will be. Hope is Beth’s biological mother, but Steffy will be taking care of this kid and giving her all the love she has to give. The adoption isn’t legal, but it’s an adoption nonetheless.
This is the kind of secret that will trickle out in the coming months. It looks like Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) may learn the truth first, but Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Dr. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) might become secret-keepers eventually. As Steffy’s parents, they wouldn’t want to destroy her happiness.
Alas, that happiness will be destroyed anyway. It seems likely that Steffy will ultimately figure it out and wrestle with a difficult decision. The Bold and the Beautiful would have the perfect setup for Steffy to keep quiet. We would feel for Hope because that’s a horrible thing to do, but we’d feel for Steffy as well since she adores this child. In the end, Steffy is duped victim just like Hope is.
