The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will deliver some huge news to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). After Dr. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) does a few more tests, he’ll confirm that Summer’s a definitive donor match for Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). She can donate part of her liver to save Lola’s life, but the surgery will come with plenty of risks.
Summer will realize she’s got a golden opportunity here. She’ll start by filling Kyle in on the fact that she’s Lola’s match. Unfortunately, Kyle’s been burned too many times to trust Summer right away. He’ll think she’s making this up to work some angle, but Summer will insist she’s telling the truth. She may point out that it’d be pointless to lie since Kyle would just talk to Nate.
Kyle will eventually believe Summer, which will lead to excitement about saving Lola. He’ll think this is great since Summer can give Lola what she needs to survive. However, Summer will admit she’s scared to go under the knife. She’ll think this surgery sounds awfully dangerous, which is true.
Nate will confirm that by doing this favor, Summer will put herself in a risky situation. She’ll really be frightened deep down, but she’ll also be playing up her emotions for sympathy. Anything that helps her win Kyle over is a good thing in Summer’s book. Next, Summer will turn Kyle’s attention to what’s in it for her. She’ll hope to get something out of this if she’s going to put her life on the line.
Kyle will insist that Summer should just name it. He’ll be willing to do anything to save Lola, so Summer will have all the power. She recently declared her love for him and vowed to keep fighting. This could be the lucky break Summer needs to get Kyle back.
However, there could be a bit of a Y&R twist. In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Hunter King offered some hints about what’s ahead. She pointed out that Summer is “predictable at being unpredictable” and added that “this time, it’s not what you expect.”
Pretty much everyone expects Summer to demand Kyle be with her in exchange for this life-saving surgery. Since King says it’s NOT what we expect, perhaps a Young and the Restless curveball will be thrown. It seems Summer will indeed make a play for Kyle, but maybe there’ll be an added catch.
Will Summer push for a marriage to lock Kyle in? After all, what’s to stop Kyle from dumping Summer once she fulfills her end of the bargain? Summer will need assurance that she’s truly getting what she wants.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will have no choice but to make this deal. Of course, things could get complicated if Summer’s surgery goes south.
