The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Abbott’s (Hunter King) fury may be unleashed. On Tuesday, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) finally bites the bullet and dumps his wife. He’s been stringing Summer along for a while now, so it was time to end things and stop her suffering.
Kyle was the one who suggested this marriage in the first place. He also insisted sex was off the table, but he ended up doing it anyway. Summer was manipulative when she used her liver as leverage, but Kyle’s been manipulative, too. He’s played games with Summer’s heart and cheated with Lola behind her back, so he’s not quite an innocent victim here.
Kyle has been hesitant to break up with Summer for a couple of reasons. One is that he truly cares about her deep down. Despite some of Kyle’s behavior lately, his intention was never for Summer to get hurt.
However, Summer did indeed get hurt and Kyle may pay the price. That brings us to the second reason Kyle hasn’t wanted to call it quits. He feared Summer might retaliate and wanted to find a way to minimize the damage. Based on Summer’s pain and anger on Tuesday, she could easily be poised for payback.
Summer clearly has a scheming side, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she reverted to some shady tactics. Will revenge be on Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Rosales) menu soon? Will Summer fall back into old habits and show off how conniving she can be? The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer could be devastated and determined enough to sabotage “Kola.”
Since Summer believes Kyle and Lola have no chance of lasting, she might be sneaky about this and focus on Lola specifically as her revenge target. If Kyle manages to convince Summer that “Skyle’s” over for good, that could shift the situation. Summer could go after both her ex-husband and the one he betrayed her with. Kyle and Lola may not know what hit them.
Then again, Y&R might want to be careful here. They’ve made some real progress with Summer’s maturity and vulnerability, so it’d be a shame to undo all that completely. Maybe they’ll be able to balance out Summer’s sneakiness with her now tender heart. She might even win Kyle back fair and square!
