Even the Nazis had second thoughts about Cleopatra’s tomb. They considered cursed because of all the people that had to die to get it to the Fatherland and some managed to turn on their own when they assumed selling Cleopatra would rid them of the curse, but was there a way to remove the curse? Danny didn’t believe there was one to begin with and Lexi was along for the ride because of her own reasons. The only one on their side that didn’t believe in the mission was Dr. Ana Castillo. She said that everyone that looks for Cleopatra or comes close to finding her dies and she had a point. Ana couldn’t bare to be around the bloodshed anymore and she chose to take a dig on the other side of the world. She tried to convince her friends to do the same and they wouldn’t hear it. The others said they’ve come too far to turn back now.
Danny and Lexi later returned to Rome, but Lexi couldn’t stay at Chuck’s apartment and so she took to couch surfing with her friends. She bothered an art restorer because she needed help. Lexi found a piece of evidence that indicates her father had been working with Farouk before the feds approached him and so she needed to know what else the document says. Lexi hoped Eric would use her background in the arts to retrieve it and she also wanted this to be done as a favor. She didn’t have any money on her like usual, but Erica was thankful of the business that Lexi has kicked her way in the past and so she agreed to take on the job without pay. She was doing that while Lexi got a call from Danny.
Dany comprised a list of people that would be interested in buying Egyptian antiquities even if it came from a terrorist. He showed it to Lexi, Fabi, and Gwen and it turns out Lexi knew a name on the list. She knew Petra and she called him to find out about the recent sale. He hadn’t bought anything because he been outbid and so he had bene happy to turn over who bought the stash. It was Jessica Wong. She was a Chinese billionaire living in London and she was also throwing a party. Gwen wanted to get a warrant though Fabi secretly told Lexi that wouldn’t be possible and that time was of the essence. The Brotherhood learned that Farouk was close to finding Cleopatra and that his people were digging somewhere in Europe.
Fabi told her that she had to be at the party to get answers and so Lexi brought Danny to the party without backup. They were supposed to case the place to find out what Jessica was hiding, but they received “help” from an unlikely source. Hardwick suggested to Lexi that she search Jessica’s office and she was in there when she Jessica came barging in with Danny. His cover had been blown and Jessica now knew he was former FBI. She demanded to know what’s going on and so Danny played her. He claimed that he was working with a team just waiting for the signal and that if she wasn’t cooperative she would be brought in for questioning. She did after all assist a terrorist. So Jessica was quick to deny it. She said she didn’t know who Farouk was and she had been very obliging when she knew her own freedom was on the line.
Danny and Lexi quickly left once Jessica handed over information and so they hurried their way to Spain. That’s where Farouk went with his men. He had Jessica purchased acres of land in Spain for the trade-off and that means he doesn’t know where exactly is the tomb. Farouk was just searching large tracts of land and meanwhile Danny and Lexi found a helpful tour guide. The tour guide went out of business when the land was bought up, but he still sells the maps and he knows about the Ghost Train. The Ghost Train was what everyone was looking for. It was last held by the Nazis and it set off from one place and derailed before it could reach its location. Dany and Lexi bought the map in which they could follow the route and that one little thing proved to be a lifesaver. They found the train before Farouk’s men could because the henchmen were searching in the wrong place.
Danny and Lexi thought their luck had turned around when they found the crate, but it seems their old Italian mafia friends found them in the middle of a Spanish forest. The last time the pair had seen them they had sort of ruined their illegal black market bazar. So Lexi and Danny found themselves in a shake down. They just couldn’t pay the man off because they found out Cleopatra had been moved again and so that really didn’t help their case when Farouk’s men came across all of them. Omar was Farouk’s second in command and he pulled weapons on the couple as well as the Italian mob. The only way to stop them from killing each other had been Lexi’s quick thinking. She and Danny agreed to dig up Cleopatra despite knowing she wasn’t down there.
Only Lexi remembered the alcohol that was in fact down there. She lured Farouk’s men into following them and with Danny’s help she threw makeshift bomb at their enemies. They got out of the ensuing fight with their lives. Carlo Velardi on the other hand had lost a son and so he called Lexi his curse because ever since they met his life has gone to ruin. Lexi and Danny didn’t let that slow them down and they still went digging on what else they could find. They came across a mass burial site. The Nazis on the train went through a shoot-out and they grabbed Cleopatra, but then they came across soldiers that were brought in to put down the rebels against Franco’s regime and so the Nazis killed them. They also took their uniforms and used that to help them escape to Casablanca.
Lexi and Danny knew they had to go there, but first she wanted to stop in Rome because Erica had answers for her and didn’t want to say over the phone. So the couple returned to Rome and that’s where they learned the evidence against Lexi’s father was a forgery. Her father wasn’t working with Farouk. It was created by someone that wanted it to look that way and so someone was trying to sully the memory of her father. Lexi later told Fabi what she learned and he told her that it must have been Ghazal. Ghazal tipped off Farouk about her dad and he was still working with Farouk. Fabi assured Lexi that the Brotherhood was watching him and she thought that would be it.
Then Hardwick called her and he showed her proof that her father had been in the Brotherhood.
So it was funny how Fabi didn’t mention that when they last spoke.
THE END!
