General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap star has something to celebrate! June 28 marks Steve Burton’s (Jason Morgan) 49th birthday, so that certainly deserves a shout-out. Many GH fans have been sending messages of love and support to Burton on his big day. It’s always nice to let this beloved cast member know you’re thinking of him, especially on such a special occasion.
On Twitter, General Hospital viewers have been expressing gratitude for Burton’s dedication to the role of Jason and offering birthday wishes. One fan gushed, “Happy Birthday StevieB!! Thank you for coming back home to #GH and for always taking the time to interact with us even tho you don’t have to. I hope all your birthday wishes come true. You’re awesome, have an amazing day. Much love!!”
Another General Hospital watcher included Burton’s family members in her message. Anyone who followers Burton on social media knows he loves his fam dearly. He’s always got some beautiful pics and stories about his kids, so they’ll hopefully be partying with Dad and enjoying some birthday cake soon.
“Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day with your beautiful family and all your wishes come true. Thank you for all you do for us fans,” the fan said. Burton was also sent some fun GH photos and GIFs as a blast from the past. He tends to share a lot of throwback pictures, so he undoubtedly appreciates getting them from fans, too.
Of course, Burton has fans outside of the soap world as well. He recently announced the end of his run as Cloud Strife in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII role-playing video game series. Burton had voiced the character for 17 years, but a reboot brought a new direction for the game. Cody Christian has taken over the part, but there are still plenty of people who loved Burton’s Cloud Strife out there.
A fan tweeted, “Happy birthday Cloud! Oh! I mean @1SteveBurton! Thank you so much for voicing my favorite Final Fantasy character of all time, you truly bring Cloud to life every chance you get and you’re phenomenal! Thank you again and I hope you have an amazing day!” Social media can get vicious with all the fan wars and drama that comes along, so it’s good to take a breather with some birthday love.
