The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is headed for trouble. As we build toward Kyle and Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) wedding, the writing’s on the wall for major drama. Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) has been causing some of it since hitting town and will continue to do so. She’ll make more waves for “Kola,” but the real problems should strike later.
A new Soap Opera Digest blind item may offer another hint. It turns out a wild plot twist is coming up for “one currently domesticated character.” This info could be for any of the four main soaps, but there’s a good reason we think this involves Kyle on Y&R. The use of the word “domesticated” just screams Kyle, doesn’t it? That’s pretty much been “Kola’s” whole storyline lately.
We heard Kyle and Lola bicker playfully over apartment hunting. We witnessed Kyle’s struggle to build a bookcase for his love. We watched Lola and Kyle paint their accent wall together. We saw them happily eating ice cream on the sofa. Does it get any more domesticated than these two?
Kyle Abbott Has Not Always Been This Boring And Docile
Of course, Y&R’s also been playing up the angle of Kyle turning from his trouble-making past. Kyle recently felt out of place at Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) pop-up party.
He started to fear he was turning into his grandfather, so the show’s suggesting he’s becoming an old married man. Summer certainly doesn’t think Kyle knows how to have fun anymore.
That sounds like the prime setup for a wild plot twist if you ask us. Theo mentioned that he’d throw Kyle a bachelor party he’d never forget. It’d be the perfect time and place for things to get wild.
Could Kyle Abbott Hook Up With Lola Rosales’ Mother?
What does The Young and the Restless have in store? Drugged or drunk Kyle sleeping with Summer would be the logical path, but that doesn’t seem like some huge twist. It’d be expected at this point.
Now if Kyle were to sleep with someone surprising – like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) or another character no one predicted would land in his bed – THAT would be wild plot twist!
What if Kyle hooks up with Celeste?! That’d be beyond messy and could easily happen if Kyle’s under the influence. Celeste seems like the type to stab her own daughter in the back like that.
Whatever the case, it should be interesting to see what will blow up “Kola’s” nuptials. The Young and the Restless spoilers say some shockers are looming, so stay tuned.
