The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of August 19-23 tease that we’ll see wedding reception mayhem. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) successfully makes Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) his wife on Friday, but their sweet nuptials are just the calm before the storm. There’ll be plenty of conflict and chaos thanks to some surprise guests in the week ahead.
For starters, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will show up where he’s not wanted as usual. He’ll make matters worse by bringing Zoe Hardisty (Anna Grace Barlow) along. Y&R fans can expect Kyle to fume over Theo’s latest move. Kyle just wanted to kick off a bright future with Lola, but this Zoe threat will pull him back toward the past.
Since underage Zoe got plastered at Kyle and Theo’s party, Kyle will definitely worry. They dumped Zoe at the hospital before Kyle paid off her dad, so he’ll have every reason to be concerned. Kyle won’t want Lola finding out – and it doesn’t look like she will just yet. Instead, Lola will have some family drama to contend with.
Adrian Rosales shows up and lurks on Friday before facing Celeste Rosales’ (Eva LaRue) backlash. In Monday’s episode, Adrian will make his presence known to the rest of the family. It turns out Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) will be on hand as well, so there’ll be lots of Rosales tension going on. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) certainly won’t be happy about their father’s arrival.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some arguments will break out, but Lola will shut them down. She’ll push for a moment alone with her dad, so she’ll hear Adrian out and perhaps make peace on some level. Lola may not be ready to have a full-blown relationship with her father, but allowing him to stay would be progress.
As for Arturo, he’ll cross paths with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) at the reception. Arturo will want Abby to know how sorry he is. He treated Abby horribly and regrets not giving her the respect she deserves. While Arturo’s making his apology, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will waltz over. He’ll ask if there’s a problem here, so Abby may appreciate him being protective and stepping in.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will unleash his fury. He’ll get in Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) face and talk about smelling a rat. Billy will suspect Michael is in cahoots with another rat by the name of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). He’ll drop hints about them getting their tails intertwined and offer a warning before he goes.
Finally, Adam will shock Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). He’ll blurt out a proposal that leaves Sharon baffled, but he’ll explain his reasons and feelings soon after. Adam will urge Sharon to marry him, but there’s no way she’ll sign up for that on the spot. Down the road though…she just might!
