General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dr. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleston) is about to lose yet another son. Will Monica go to extreme measures to get to know the person Drew Cain (Billy Miller) used to be before the brain-mapping procedure? Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) could give her that chance.
Drew Is Presumed Dead
Drew is on a mission to return money to Afghanistan, but he’s made a detour to send Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) back to Port Charles. His goal is to help Franco get his memories back and put Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) family back together. General Hospital spoilers suggest Drew’s plane will likely go down at some point, leaving him presumed dead in the crash. Without Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) to carry on as a part of Drew, will Monica cling to Franco as all she has left?
Franco Has Drew’s Memories
Thanks to Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and Dr. Arthur Cabot (Time Winters), Franco has Drew’s early memories. Monica never knew Drew as a child because no one knew he existed. Franco can give Monica any information she wants from Drew’s childhood and his life as a Navy SEAL.
Drew lost those memories when Andre took them to replace his memories with Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton). Monica longs to know the child she didn’t get to raise along with his brother, so Franco provides an interesting opportunity. What will Monica do to hold onto Drew and his memories?
Franco Has a Dark Past
GH fans know Franco has an extremely dark past. A brain tumor rewrite got Franco off the hook legally and explains why he’s a better person now, but it can’t erase his mistakes. Franco stalked Jason and his then-wife, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Franco allowed Sam to believe for years that he had raped her. Franco’s actions also led to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) getting raped in prison, and we can’t forget Franco’s time as a serial killer either.
However, Franco turned his life around due to the brain tumor removal. Now that Franco thinks and acts as Drew, that’s another step removed from the old Franco. Monica may begin to see only Drew once she gets to know Franco as who he believes himself to be.
Will Monica Invite Franco to Stay with Her?
Franco has been staying in a hotel, but generous Monica wants to get to know him. She could easily invite Franco to move into the Quartermaine mansion if they hit it off. As Monica grieves the loss of the real Drew, growing closer to the fake one may be the next best thing. Franco may be all Monica has to work with, so will she make Franco part of the Quartermaine family?
