General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that one Port Charles resident is in need of a reboot. Ever since Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) brutal murder, Ava Jerome (Maura West) has been struggling to find her way. She thought she was rebuilding her life with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), but she was actually being duped by Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) – the very man responsible for her pain.
It’s true that Ava hasn’t always been the world’s greatest mom, but let’s be honest: Kiki wasn’t the world’s greatest daughter either. They had a complicated relationship and betrayed each other along the way, but they would’ve worked things out if they’d had the chance. Kiki is angry in the beyond, but that’s arguably just a contrived way to give Ava some material right now.
Ava will hopefully resolve things with Kiki in time, but the real point of all this may be to forgive herself. If Ava can do that, perhaps she can find peace and move on. Of course, the question is: What version of Ava will we see moving forward? It’s possible Ava will once again try to improve herself, but it’s also possible she’ll accept that she’s not meant to be a saint.
Ava Jerome Tired Of Fresh Starts That Never Panned Out
Ava had an interesting perspective during a recent chat with Julian Jerome (William deVry). She suggested she was tired of all the fresh starts that never panned out. Ava told Julian that they were Jeromes and always would be. She felt that no matter what they did, they were always going to revert to their true selves.
Perhaps Ava’s right – and that may not be a bad thing. Maura West is fabulous as a bad girl, so there’s no reason to have Ava turn from her wicked ways completely. Ava should at least keep her attitude. After all, someone has to stand up to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Maybe what Ava really needs moving forward is a new man who will accept her for her flaws without loving her for them. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) saw Ava as a pet project he could change. Ryan wanted to bring out the darkest side of Ava possible. What Ava really needs is someone in between a Griffin and a Ryan.
Will Ava Jerome Finally Find Closure On Her Psychic Journey?
There has to be some perfect guy who can live with who Ava is but won’t root for her to get worse! Can Ava find her ideal match? Many General Hospital viewers are still rooting for an Ava and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) pairing. There might be other exciting options as well.
Whatever the case, let’s hope GH can wrap up Ava’s psychic journey and give her Kiki closure soon. Ava needs to find love and a sense of purpose again. General Hospital spoilers say some hot drama’s ahead, so don’t miss all the action.
