The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could be on the verge of making a huge mistake. He’s been feeling lost lately and just isn’t sure about what he wants. Billy seems unfulfilled and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) packed schedule isn’t helping matters. She’ll keep trying to carve out time for romance in the coming weeks, but it’ll be a real struggle.
That could present even more opportunities for Billy to grow closer to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). He feels a sense of normalcy with her. Billy can drop his guard and open up in ways he can’t with Victoria. For whatever reason, Billy has put up walls with the one person he thought could save him.
Y&R fans will recall how Billy desperately needed Victoria at the Chancellor boathouse. He was battling his dark alter, but Victoria’s support helped him through that difficult time. It seemed like the experience brought them closer, but there’s suddenly distance again. Billy keeps insisting that having his family back is everything, but it seems like it’s not all it’s cracked up to be deep down.
Perhaps Billy feels like he’s moving backward instead of forward on some level. He’s always been the kind of guy who craved risks and excitement – hence the gambling addiction he’s dealt with. Maybe taking himself out of the corporate game without a backup plan wasn’t the right call. Billy now has more time to spend with Victoria and the kids, but Victoria doesn’t have much time to spend with him.
That could prove to be a bad combination, especially since Amanda could find herself pulling away from Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). He’ll take steps to push himself out of the friend zone, but Amanda may remain wary due to Nate’s connection to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). It’s easy to imagine Amanda trying to create some distance and feeling drawn to Billy instead.
Is Y&R building toward an Amanda and Billy hookup? That might be a breakup catalyst for Billy and Victoria. There’s surely a reason The Young and the Restless went with a less firm commitment ceremony instead of a full-blown wedding. It’s always felt like “Villy’s” latest reunion had an expiration date.
Of course, there’s a chance Victoria and Billy could still work things out, but having Billy cheat might be a tough hurdle to get past. It’s worth mentioning that Billy will wrestle with old habits during the week of December 9-13. Cheating is an old habit of his, so it’s possible Billy will land in bed with Amanda.
The Young and the Restless spoilers also indicate that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will grow increasingly suspicious of Amanda. If Billy and Amanda do hook up, a furious Victor just might be the one to uncover it! He’ll undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on Amanda and the people she associates with. Victor could be the reason Victoria learns about this potential infidelity and gets her heart broken.
