General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will have concerns about that photo she found in Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) bag of belongings. It was the one taken of Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) at Christmastime, so Carly will have questions about how much Brando knows and how he knows it.
However, Brando will confess he doesn’t really know anything at all – at least about the Dev deal. He’s estranged from Gladys, which is why she made up the cover story about Brando being dead. She knew her son was alive and well, but it was easier to tell people he was dead than reveal the truth.
Brando apparently still cared about his mom and wanted to keep up with her, so he checked her social media pages regularly. He’ll explain that he saw Gladys and Dev’s picture posted, which led to him printing it out.
Brando will insist he hasn’t been in touch with Gladys and doesn’t know anything about who Dev is. It seems he was just curious about this teenage boy in a pic with his mom.
Of course, GH spoilers say there are still some crucial mysteries. Brando may not know about Gladys’ deal with Dev, but he must know a thing or two about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)!
After all, it’s no coincidence that Brando showed up just in time to save Carly at the warehouse. Brando clearly knew about the coordinated attack and took action.
Was Brando part of Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) team? That’s Sonny’s new enemy, so Brando might’ve been on Cyrus’ side until he realized his mother was about to get caught in the chaos.
It’s also possible this was some sort of undercover mission. Brando is in a dangerous line of work since he carries a gun around. He was prepared for the peril he found, so that’s important.
Brando will get grilled by Gladys, Carly, Sonny and perhaps other Corinthos family members. They can’t trust anyone at the moment – or ever really! That’s just the mob life.
We should mention that Gladys was acting awfully nosy about the hijacked truck, the warehouse, etc. Gladys is a proven liar, and we can’t really take Brando at his word either.
General Hospital spoilers are pointing to Gladys and Brando’s confessions as being legit, but there are undoubtedly some significant puzzle pieces they’re leaving out.
Whatever the case, it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for Dev and his new “dad.” It’d be nice for Dev and Brando to actually bond since Dev seems somewhat lonely.
The Corinthos clan has been good to him, but he could use a fill-in father like Brando – at least if Brando can learn how to be a decent one.
Naturally, we can’t ignore the obvious here. Brando looks a tad young to have a child as old as Dev, which could present some red flags. That’s on top of the biggest issue, which is this Dev scheme hinged on Brando being dead.
More questions are going to spell trouble, but Sonny will do whatever he can to make sure Dev stays safe and in the country.
