The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) will have a lot to deal with in the days to come. As Y&R viewers know, she and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) just ended their marriage, and she’s absolutely devastated.
Lola finally pleaded for Kyle to be honest with her, and he admitted that Summer Newman (Hunter King) was in his heart and that he had never gotten over her. It was a huge blow to Lola, but all-in-all, the breakup wasn’t contentious or bitter. But that doesn’t mean it won’t get contentious or bitter going forward.
One can only imagine what’s going to happen when Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) get wind of the breakup. They’re going to be furious with Kyle and will probably be sure to let him know it in no uncertain terms.
Y&R viewers will remember that Kyle promised up and down never to hurt Lola, and now he’s left her for another woman. And we can’t help but wonder what will happen when Lola finds out that Kyle and Summer got back together mere moments after their breakup occurred.
That’s going to sting big time, and Lola might start to feel pretty used and discarded at that point. And given that she’ll be hanging around Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) quite a bit in the days to come, and Theo doesn’t particularly care for Kyle, some of that animosity might rub off onto Lola.
One wonders whether Theo will have influence on Lola and the way she handles the divorce proceedings.
Given the amicable way that Kyle and Lola split, one might expect their divorce to be amicable as well, but considering that Theo will be part of the mix, he could influence Lola to turn things a bit more contentious. According to Y&R spoilers, Theo and Lola will soon kiss, so they’ll be getting closer in the coming days.
Both Kyle and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) have tried to warn Lola about how Theo is just using her to get to Kyle. Well, if that’s true, then what’s to stop Theo from continuing to do that going forward?
After all, given that Lola and Kyle will be divorcing and that Kyle is an Abbott, Theo might start seeing dollar signs and encourage Lola to demand a big settlement from Kyle in the divorce…something that he and Lola could use to start a new and comfortable life together.
He might reason with Lola, saying that she should try to get as much money out of Kyle as possible, given all the broken promises and broken vows.
Of course, Lola will probably resit doing that at first, but you never know – the more that she sees Kyle and Summer together, with Summer living the life that she wanted with Kyle, she might become more wiling to ask for a lucrative settlement in the divorce.
We’ll see what happens here, but we wouldn’t put it past Theo to keep going after Kyle through Lola in any way that he can.
