General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, February 14, reveal that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) marched into Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) office at Aurora wondering if it was too late for them to embark on something.
Jax said that he enjoyed kissing her, but that he didn’t want it to seem like he was pressuring her. She then shut the door and said that she consulted a lawyer and as long as there’s no quid pro quo, a relationship would be completely legal.
Jax noted that it seemed like she wanted to date him, but she worried about her “intense baggage.” Jax said that he likes challenges and that she’s not her baggage. He told Nina that it was her leap to take, and with that, she kissed him passionately.
From there, they went to Jax’s bedroom, where he popped the champagne. They kissed and eventually made love.
Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) talked with the spirit of his mother, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers), in his room at the Metro Court. He asked how she pulled off such a lie, but she told him it was no lie.
Helena explained how Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) believed Valentin was his son and gave the fortune to him, which she wasn’t counting on.
But much later, Helena told Mikkos the truth, which prompted him to write the codicil leaving everything to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Helena then hid the codicil in her portrait as a test for Nikolas.
Valentin also realized that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) was all about giving Helena an heir from her line and Luke Spencer’s line (Anthony Geary). Having figured all this out, Valentin threw his glass at Helena, who promptly disappeared. Valentin then left his room in anger.
At the Metro court, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) dined, while Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) sat at another table with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) having a therapy session.
Sam eventually left, and Alexis stopped by Neil’s table. Neil made sure to tell Alexis that Obrecht was a patient, and not a date. Alexis then left awkwardly and stepped out to make a call.
After her call, Alexis noticed Valentin making a beeline through the Metro Court and headed for the balcony. She followed him out there as he was reciting some poem and moving toward the ledge.
Alexis asked him what he was doing, and he pulled back. She quipped that it was a win for him not being a Cassadine. He left, and Neil appeared, giving Alexis his coat.
At Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) place, they got interrupted by a knock on the door – Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier). She immediately hugged Chase and said she needed his help.
Chase threatened to contact Nelle’s parole officer for stalking him, then Nelle announced that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) were thinking about leaving town and taking Wiley Cooper-Jones (Theo and Erik Olson) with them.
Willow and Nelle bickered, then Chase threw Nelle out. Willow and Chase noted the similarities between Nelle and Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and talked about how Chase got manipulated by Nelle in the past.
They wondered if Brad and Lucas were really leaving town with Wiley, and she noted that her spending time with Wiley might not be the best thing for either of them.
Next, at Kelly’s, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) discussed Deception and ELQ business a bit, then Nelle burst in, saying that this was his last chance to improve his offer to buy her ELQ shares.
Michael reminded her that he doesn’t mind waiting the probate out – it could take years. Nelle sneered that he was just like his mother and that he’s about to lose Wiley forever.
Nelle then informed Michael and Sasha about Brad and Lucas’ Portland move, but Michael said that he was happy for them and he could visit every weekend. Nelle told him to go to hell and left. Sasha then noted that it must have really hit him hard that Wiley would be moving away. They hugged.
At Turning Woods, Brad told Lucas about the job opportunity that just fell into his lap. It would mean a move to Portland, which initially surprised Lucas, but soon he was into it.
Brad said that his new employer could even make room for Lucas at the same hospital. Lucas thought this was a great way to put distance between himself and Julian Jerome (William deVry).
Soon, Sam came in and learned about the possible move. She thought it sounded like an awesome idea, and she suggested that Brad and Lucas reconsider her as Wiley’s designated guardian since she’s on parole. Later, Lucas called Willow and asked her to come over – he had something important to fill her in on.
Finally, Valentin returned back to his room at the Metro Court. Soon, there was a knock at the door, and Valentin was glad to see Nelle standing there. He said he was glad that she was ready to sell her ELQ stocks to him, and that he was ready to negotiate.
