The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will try to proceed with caution. She was burned badly by Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so Lola wants to do her next romance right. Since moving full-speed ahead ended in disaster for “Kola,” Lola’s hoping to take it slow with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and build something meaningful. There’s no need to rush!
However, it’s obvious that Theo’s ready to get this show on the road. He told Lola she was worth the wait, but Theo just isn’t a very patient guy. Theo’s planning to take Lola to New York for their first date, so that might be the perfect place to step up his game – at least in Theo’s opinion. Theo can show Lola all his favorite places and sweep her off her feet.
Will Lola find herself breaking her own rule? Will Theo convince her this feels right and cause her to rush into another relationship? That’s one option to consider as this Young and the Restless storyline moves forward. It’s also possible Lola will keep holding back and provide some familiar frustration.
Back when Kyle and Lola were dating, one of their initial problems involved Lola’s virginity. Despite Kyle’s insistence that he could wait, Lola could feel him pulling away. She also felt like Summer Newman (Hunter King) was using that to her advantage.
Lola obviously isn’t a virgin anymore, but Kyle’s still the only guy she’s ever been with. It’ll be a big step for Lola to make love with Theo. She once offered Theo a hookup in the heat of the moment, but that was just about jealousy and rage.
Theo thankfully turned Lola down since she would’ve regretted it, but will Theo get tired of waiting? Could he sleep with someone else first and hurt Lola?
Regardless, doubts remain about Theo’s true motives. Based on Theo’s track record, it’s just tough to truly trust him. It’s always difficult to tell what’s real and what’s a game for him. Theo assured Kyle that Lola’s very special, but he added that sticking it to Kyle is a bonus. Is Kyle more of a factor here than Theo wants to admit?
Theo may not even realize just how much his resentment is fueling his desire for Lola. Y&R could be setting Lola up more heartbreak if that’s the case. Summer suggested Lola brought out a new side of Theo, but she also talked about Theo being a user. There’s no denying that part of Theo still exists.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens if Theo indeed hurts Lola, especially since Kyle still cares about her. Perhaps Kyle and Lola’s romance won’t be as kaput as it seems! It just might be the ideal way to rev the love triangle back up down the road. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news rolls in.
