Meanwhile, after jumping into a new opportunity as a TV doctor, Bell is left without any surgeries and The Raptor brings him in to help on an important case.”

Bell appears on a talk show to sell the vitamins he has been marketing. It appears he has a new job as a TV doctor. The audience appears to like him, chanting “Ring the Bell.”
Nic and Devon talk to Cain about the patient he charted went to rehab but has really been in LTACH this whole time. He gives them a speech about how hard he has been trying and how much he cares for her and her family.
Kit and Conrad assess a patient who has a lot of fluid in his lungs. It looks bad but Kit makes it appear like it is nothing. After they leave the room, Kit shares that she knows things aren’t looking good for the patient, her son-in-law, and she doesn’t handle stress well.
Bell is told by his producer that he will need to cut back at Chastain for the show. Meanwhile, Conrad and AJ meet with a patient who needs surgery. It is a delicate one and the patient seems more concerned with his sports game.
Conrad and Kit discover her son-in-law has a mass in his chest. Bell returns to the hospital to find out his schedule has been changed because he was busy.
Lee confronts Cain about his LTACH patient. Cain admits he is trying to keep her alive for a bit longer to make his surgery outcome numbers look good. She has pneumonia now and that is all, he tells Cain.
Conrad and Kit give the bad news to her daughter and son-in-law. Her daughter starts to panic and confronts her mother. Kit plays it down again. AJ performs the biopsy. Now they wait for the pathology report.
Bell confronts Lee about his surgery schedule change. Lee tells him he has been busy with his TV show so he made some changes.
Cain manipulates the new nurse into keeping his dying patient’s status quiet. He orders labs that she cannot tell the others about.
Bell begs AJ to get into one of his surgeries. His day is wide open. Conrad tells Kit that her son-in-law has cancer. She cries. Kit delivers the bad news.
Her daughter becomes hysterical. Conrad answers questions about the survival rate. He is truthful. Kit’s daughter becomes worse. Kit gets mad at Conrad. He consoles her. She is mad at cancer, not him, he tells her.
Cain’s patients begin to crash. Devon and Nic rush in to help. Kit consoles her daughter. She is proud of her.
AJ begins surgery and realizes the patient has excessive scar tissues. He needs the OR for longer and Bell.
Nic vents to Conrad about Cain’s patient. They visit with Kit’s son-in-law. Her daughter returns with a whole new attitude. She consoles her scared husband who starts to cry.
Cain tells the family of the LTACH patient that it is time they let her go. Nic visits Kit’s son-in-law. Kit’s daughter is with him. She notices a spike on his monitor. He is having trouble. She calls for the crash cart. Conrad comes in and they stabilize him.
The family says goodbye to Cain’s patient. Nic and the others watch on with sad faces. AJ commends Bell on his surgical skills. Bell admits he pushed himself this time like he hasn’t in years. AJ wants to know why the TV show? He is a good surgeon.
Bell takes the stage at his show. He videos to the patient he and AJ just saved. The audience goes wild.
Cain appears happy his LTACH patient made it to the term so he could declare her surgery a successful outcome. Then he gets a call. His patient has a superbug, the lab reports, one that will destroy the hospital and make them all sick. He goes running.
