General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will make a choice during the week of April 20-24. Of course, if this choice is important enough to be mentioned in General Hospital spoilers, it makes sense that it’ll be a significant one. It sounds like Portia will decide something that could shake things up, so this could tie in with a paternity shocker.
When Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) sat down with Portia and pushed for honesty, she assured him that Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) was Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) father.
Curtis had done the math and knew he was a possible “baby daddy” candidate, so he wanted to clear things up. Both Curtis and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) were relieved to know Taggert was indeed Trina’s dad.
However, it’s a mistake to just take Portia at her word. Portia lied to Curtis about being single when Taggert was actually on an undercover assignment. She also kept Taggert’s secrets about work, so she’s no stranger to hiding the truth.
Portia certainly has some good reasons to keep quiet about this particular secret. She doesn’t want to turn Curtis and Jordan’s lives upside down, but Trina would be Portia’s main concern. Finding out Taggert wasn’t her biological father just might send poor Trina over the edge!
Nevertheless, Portia may ultimately decide Curtis should know the real story. Will that be the decision Portia makes? Will she be unable to keep denying this paternity bomb? Since there have been hints that Taggert’s most likely alive, this revelation could set up some great GH conflict.
Even if Portia wants to keep Daddy Curtis news quiet, Trina would inevitably find out. If that happens, it’s only going to fuel Trina’s hatred for her bio dad. It’s worth mentioning that Taggert seemed to have a hunch that Curtis was the real deal.
Just before Taggert lost consciousness after the shootout, he pushed Curtis to look after Trina. The scene felt like a powerful moment of passing the dad baton.
Naturally, it changes the game if Taggert’s alive and reenters the picture. Taggert might actually take Trina’s side and defend his father territory. This could set up a bit of a dueling daddies scenario as Curtis works to have a relationship with Trina. Curtis wouldn’t want to be pushy about it, but bonding with Trina would still matter to him.
