General Hospital (GH) spoilers has some news to pass on about a fan-favorite former GH star. Dominic Zamprogna, who portrayed Dante Falconeri on the ABC soap, is celebrating a birthday milestone. The talented actor turned 41 on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, and we wish him a very happy birthday!
It’s been a little over a year since we’ve seen Dante on GH. As GH fans will remember, Dante left the show back in 2018, but then returned in March 2019 for a brief stint.
However, when Dante returned, he started showing signs of PTSD due to his terrible ordeal in captivity. Dante has been with the WSB ever since, supposedly seeking treatment for his PTSD.
Dante has been mentioned on the show as of late, with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) lamenting to her mom Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about how Dante has been gone a full year.
And Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) got updates from Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) about how Dante was doing. Sadly, Robert reported no improvement in Dante’s condition.
Fans have been missing Dante on screen, and they’ve been missing Dominic as well, since he has been largely absent from social media during the COVID-19 quarantine.
Back on March 16th, Dominic posted a cute picture of his family (including the family dog) lounging in bed, along with a note saying he’d been limiting his social media time.
Dominic’s tweet read: “Stressful times. Have been limiting the Twitter cause it’s a lot sometimes. But. Wanted to wish everyone HEALTH and STRENGTH (even if that means having a good cry…like I been known to do). Here’s some cuteness…”
And back on March 6th, Dominic posted a selfie along with a shout-out to GH fans. He tweeted: “Been running into a lot of #GH fans lately. I see you, and you guys are awesome. Just saying.”
Fans loved both posts, and many responded that they miss Dominic on GH and want to see you back. One fan replied: “We miss you Dom!!! We’d love to see our talented self and handsome face back onscreen.” And another fan commented: “Well, Lulu is not the only one missing Dante!! Hope you’re well!!”
It’s clear that fans would love to see Dante back on GH, and we would too. Of course, that would shake things up big time for Lulu and Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson).
We think that Dante might also have something to say about Lulu’s working relationship with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) as well. The possibilities for great drama are definitely there!
