The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that a beloved character death is set to happen in 2020 – at least it was before the COVID-19 aka coronavirus forced a studio shutdown. Since it’ll be a while before the cast and crew can film new episodes, that could push back this beloved character’s demise.
However, Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell promised this death would indeed happen. With that in mind, we should try to figure out which character might be killed off. Let’s focus on that “beloved” part as a way to really narrow it down and focus on the best possible candidate.
The use of the word “beloved” suggests someone who isn’t polarizing. For example, someone like Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is adored by some and loathed by others. Brooke surely isn’t going anywhere, but that’s just so you get the idea.
We need to concentrate on a character that doesn’t have too many haters. The ideal death for The Bold and the Beautiful would be someone who matters, but not so much that it drastically changes the show.
In other words, a good fit would be a longtime character with a lot of loved ones, but he or she should be more of a supporting player. It shouldn’t be someone who’s at the center of the action all the time.
Of course, we should also think about who might be looking to step away from B&B. When you add all this up, could Katie Logan’s (Heather Tom) life be in danger?
There are no hints so far about how exactly this beloved character will be killed off, but Katie certainly has some health risks. Her heart is always going to be an issue.
Katie also received a kidney transplant, so that could be another health factor. Just because Katie’s doing OK right now doesn’t mean that’ll be the case forever. Heather Tom directs on the side and has plenty of other outside opportunities.
If Tom decides to leave, it’s easy to imagine B&B shaking things up through Katie’s death.
That would lead to several grieving individuals and could spark some other romantic shakeups. Between Katie’s family and all her exes, her death would affect tons of characters on canvas.
Katie would definitely qualify as beloved, too. There’s no need to panic if you’re a Katie lover since nothing’s been confirmed, but it’s something to ponder.
