Recently he witnessed his friend, Phil Gaimon, break a world cycling record. Muhney said in his tweet, “Good friend & riding buddy Phil & my boy Ben Foster did the “Everest Challenge” today Climbing Mt. Everest elevation = 29,029ft IN ONE RIDE. I witnessed (well, two hours of it) @philgaimon break the world record and do it in 8 hours. 97 miles.”

Young And The Restless Spoilers – History Seen Clearly Now
The announcement that Muhney was exiting the cast of Y&R in December 2013 stunned fans at the time because he was at the height of his daytime popularity. The actor later acknowledged that his on-set demeanor led to then executive producer Jill Farren Phelps non-renewing his contract.
What’s fair to describe as a smear campaign temporarily flourished after Muhney left the soap. The actor hired a private investigator, who was able to locate and discredit the original source of what proved to be an invented rumor.
Muhney’s positive comments about how Farren Phelps handled the matter projected self-awareness. Y&R’s choice to allow Muhney to be part of the casting process in the summer of 2014, when the show was planning to revive the Adam character, confirmed that the actor was eligible for rehire. That served to blunt pointed speculation about why he’d been let go.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Legacy
The scripts the writing staff generated during Muhney’s time on the show, his performances, along with those of his colleagues, and the responses of the fans at the time made that era memorable.
Chris Engen (Adam) preceded Muhney, who became the second adult actor to play Adam after Y&R initially SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) the role in 2008. Muhney was followed by Justin Hartley (Adam), who was hired during the previously referenced summer 2014 casting. He stayed through 2016. Mark Grossman (Adam) became the next recast in 2019, when Y&R adjusted the character to a younger age.
