General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 14, reveal that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) talked at Charlie’s Pub. Anna was distracted about Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) death, and Finn suggested that they talk about their wedding. Anna and Finn decided to marry in August and kissed, just as Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) came in and grumped about them being happy.
Robert was peeved at Anna for talking with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) about Holly’s death rather than talking to him about it directly. Robert accused Anna of thinking that Holly could still be alive, and Anna said that she didn’t want to say anything until she knew more. Anna didn’t want Robert off chasing ghosts like he always does, but Robert went off to make some calls anyway.
Finn and Anna talked a bit about Robert and Holly’s unique relationship, and Finn thought it was clear that Robert never stopped loving Holly. Anna worried that Robert would lose himself in a desperate quest to find Holly, noting that until a body was discovered, Robert probably wouldn’t let it go.
Meanwhile, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) woke up in her room at the Metro Court as her phone rang. Sasha was still in her clothes from the night before, and the struggled to wake up as she talked to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) on the other end.
Maxie yelled that the Deception photo shoot was today, and that Sasha had five minutes to get there, or else she’d find another model.
At Deception, Maxie lamented to Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) that her photo shoot was imploding. Meanwhile, downstairs at the Metro Court, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) chatted with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), thanking him for his generous donation to the homeless shelter.
In the elevator, Sasha bumped into Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who could see that Sasha was in bad shape with smeared makeup from the night before. Nina said that she heard about Sasha’s breakup with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), and Sasha wasn’t in the mood for a lecture.
But Nina told Sasha that she hoped she’d find peace and love, and that her pain would be gone forever. Sasha exited the elevator, and after a moment’s hesitation, Nina followed her.
At a table, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) met with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), who said that he had acquired some shares of ELQ, but not enough to be a controlling interest.
Martin said that the family was currently preoccupied with Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) antics and the custody battle. Valentin instructed Martin to find out who controls the shares of Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) and Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) children. Martin took off for court.
Back with Laura and Jax, Laura spied Valentin talking with Martin and worried. Jax said that he was surprised that Valentin didn’t fight harder to hold onto the Cassadine estate. Laura said that she was quite sure that Valentin would find a way to make money.
Over at the police station, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) approached Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and said that Michael and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) had married. Carly said that she regretted what Michael and Willow’s decision had cost Chase.
Chase asked why Carly was there, and Carly said that if Chase ever crossed paths with the people who helped the judge see that Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) had a loving home, he should tell them that she’ll always cherish their selfless actions.
Back at Deception, Sasha walked in looking like a mess. Charlotte blurted out that Sasha looked terrible, and Maxie was horrified. Maxie got a makeup artist to work on Sasha, and Lulu tried to console Maxie. Nina arrived and gave Maxie a pep talk, telling her to toughen up and be the superstar that she is. Nina left with Charlotte.
Sasha emerged from the makeup room with fresh makeup, and Lulu asked her a few questions for the Invader about how she saw her future. Sasha teared up and started crying again.
Maxie walked up and blasted Sasha for crying, telling her that she needed to get her act together and be a businesswoman today, then cry tomorrow. “Don’t make me regret coming to Deception,” Maxie bellowed.
Sasha went to the makeup room and cried, and a female staff member came in. Sasha told the woman to tell Maxie that she’d be right out, and the woman said that she wasn’t here for Maxie.
The woman handed Sasha a vial of powder, saying it was just something to help her get through the shoot. Sasha protested, saying she doesn’t do that, and the woman said, “Me either, except for really tough days.”
Back in the main area at Deception, Chase walked in. Lulu gave him the cold shoulder for cheating on Willow, and she lamented that Sasha can’t stop crying and that Chase needed to do something about it. Chase asked how he could help, and Lulu ordered him to talk to Sasha. Chase went to see Sasha. Sasha was surprised to see Chase, and he relayed Carly’s words to Sasha.
Sasha thought that Chase was handing things better than she was, but Chase said that he wasn’t – he could barely get out of bed this morning. Chase said that when the judge grants custody of Wiley to Michael, it will all be worth it. Chase urged Sasha to remember that Deception is her dream, too, and to do the photo shoot. Sasha said she’d change and be right out. Chase walked out and Sasha looked at herself in the mirror.
Chase returned to Maxie and Lulu, and soon Sasha emerged from the makeup room in a red dress and with a new “go get ‘em” attitude. Sasha was smiling and happy and with loads of energy. Viewers then saw the makeup table where Sasha had been sitting, and the camera panned to the empty drug vial…Sasha had taken the drugs.
Back at the Metro Court, Nina handed Charlotte off to Valentin. Charlotte told her dad that she saw Sasha’s makeup transformation, and that she used to dislike Sasha, but now she felt bad for her. Valentin praised Charlotte for her compassion. Laura and Jax approached them, and Nina and Jax went to a table.
There, Nina told Jax that she comforted both Sasha and Maxie earlier, then she tended to Charlotte. Nina said that she needed to know about her own daughter. Jax asked if Nina wanted him to find her daughter, and Nina said no. “I’m going to find her myself,” Nina said confidently.
Later, Valentin returned to the Metro Court after dropping Charlotte off from school, and he talked with Laura. Valentin thanked Laura for convincing Lulu to stick with the 50/50 custody arrangement.
Valentin said that he decided to remain in Charlotte’s life, and Laura thought that was best for Charlotte. Laura said that Valentin could write his future – as a man who puts his family first before money and power.
Over at the Quartermaine mansion, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) greeted Michael, who was returning from Turning Woods. Soon, Willow arrived, and Diane noticed the rings on Willow’s finger.
Diane was thrilled to learn that Willow and Michael had married, and she told Willow that she was brave to marry into the Quartermaine and Corinthos families. Diane thought that Willow was the perfect match for Michael.
At the courthouse, Martin met Carly in the foyer. Carly wondered where Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) was, and Martin attempted to introduce himself, but Carly refused to shake Martin’s hand.
Carly mentioned Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Martin said he was aware of Sonny’s storied history. Carly noted that Martin could find Sonny’s connections to be lucrative.
Diane, Michael, and Willow walked up and Martin quipped about Michael and Willow’s sudden marriage. Carly, Michael, Willow, and Diane made their way into the courtroom, and Diane warned Carly about talking to Martin, saying that Martin would try to paint Carly as a controlling woman who wanted to rip Wiley out of Nelle’s arms.
The judge came in and called the hearing to order, but Nelle wasn’t there yet. Martin stepped into the hallway to call Nelle, then he returned to the courtroom and assured the judge that Nelle was on her way.
Diane quietly told Michael that the judge could rule in his favor if Nelle didn’t show up. The judge announced that he’d waited long enough.
Suddenly, the courtroom door opened, and Nelle burst in, wearing a white dress and carrying a bouquet. “Oh my God, I’m so sorry I’m late,” Nelle said breathlessly. “The most incredible thing just happened.” Nelle held up her finger, flashing her wedding ring. Carly rolled her eyes.
