General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 19, teases Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will realize Nelle Jerome (William deVry) must have the upper hand. Sonny knows Julian Jerome (William deVry) was rooting against Nelle the night before the hearing, so he’ll assume Nelle scored leverage and forced Julian into marriage.
That’s exactly what happened, but Sonny won’t talk Julian into confessing. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will be there as Sonny’s backup, but Julian will decide to play along with what Nelle wants for now.
Of course, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will immediately grow curious over Nelle’s marriage updates. General Hospital spoilers say Nina will want to know how Nelle roped Julian into this.
Nina won’t buy that Julian actually wanted to wed, so we’ll see what story Nelle comes up with. If Nelle can drive home the point that she’s fighting for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), maybe she can convince Nina to play for her team in court.
Then again, Nina may think Nelle’s blackmail scheme is evidence that she hasn’t really changed. Regardless, Nelle had that half-heart pendant necklace in the courtroom.
It seems like a comforting piece of Nelle’s past that’s meant to give her good luck. Nelle will probably wind up clutching it once again, which could bring an opportunity for Nina to see it sooner or later.
In the meantime, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) will face Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) wrath. Carly might bring up something about Julian’s old mob ties and argue that Nelle’s new husband will hurt more than he helps.
Martin wants to steer clear of going after Sonny for that very reason, but he’ll use Sonny in his strategy if he has to.
However, Carly will argue there’ll be a price to pay if Martin stoops that low. She’ll suggest a deadly outcome awaits if Martin uses Sonny against Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Sonny doesn’t want to be the reason Michael loses custody to Nelle, so Martin had better be careful about what he says in court.
As for Carly, she’ll get some words of wisdom during a meeting with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy). Nelle always knows how to get under Carly’s skin, so Diane will about the difficult battle ahead.
Things are sure to get tense in that courtroom, so it’s crucial for Carly to keep her cool. Something tells us that’ll be downright impossible, but Diane will hope for the best anyway!
Next, let’s talk about Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). General Hospital spoilers point to Liz sharing a candid moment with Jason, but she’ll also open up to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). GH fans will see some sweet Nik and Liz scenes, so does Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) have a reason to worry?
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will think so when he talks to Franco on Tuesday. Liz may be trustworthy in Scott’s eyes, but he won’t have a good feeling about “Prince Cassadine.” Scott will think it’s wise for Franco to keep an eye on Nikolas, so we’ll see if Franco heeds that warning.
