General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, June 1, tease that the ABC soap will throw it back with another Nurses Ball classic. This exciting encore originally aired on May 25, 2016. General Hospital spoilers say it features some great performances and shockers, so here’s the rundown on what you can expect.
On stage, Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) and Emma Scorpio-Drake delight the audience with their rendition of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Elton John and Kiki Dee.
Afterward, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) makes a speech about Ned and Emma’s influential families. She also promises there’ll be no crashed performances this year since the problem’s been taken care of.
Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) finds a furious Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) bound and gagged in a closet. Liesl wants Epiphany to untie her, but Epiphany makes Liesl change her tone to a more polite one.
After Epiphany cooperates, she notices Liesl’s outfit. Liesl admits its for her act, but Epiphany wants her to steer clear of the stage since she’s not on the schedule.
Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) looks satisfied as she pulls a jump drive out of a laptop. She alludes to having the upper hand of Ava Jerome (Maura West). Carly later finds Ava in the restroom and trades barbs with her.
Ava makes a comment about picking Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) up in the morning, but Carly insists that won’t be happening. She warns that Ava’s going to give up custody of Avery and shows her a scandalous bondage video featuring Ava and Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi).
Carly intends to post it online if Ava doesn’t obey orders, but Ava’s done worse than make a sex tape and doesn’t cave in.
After Carly texts the video to Paul, he confronts Ava about filming their encounter. Ava suggests it was an insurance policy, but Paul wants her to fulfill Carly’s demands. If Paul loses his job, then he hints that he could release the recording of Ava confessing to Connie Falconeri’s (Kelly Sullivan) murder.
Ava finds Carly back in the restroom, where they get into a scuffle. Once Ava wrestles the jump drive away and flushes it, Carly points out that there’s a copy in the Cloud. She thinks it’s time for Ava to accept that she’s lost custody of Avery.
Next, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) is tickled pink over Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) being able to make it to the Nurses Ball. Laura confesses she was a little worried she would be allowed in since this was so last-minute. Kevin notes that he bought an extra ticket and wants Laura to be his guest for the evening.
Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) corners Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) to reveal info about the shooting that left Hayden comatose. Before Hayden can spill anything, Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) drags her away.
Backstage, Lucas is shocked to find Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) unconscious on the floor. After Bobbie awakens, she talks about getting lightheaded. Although Lucas wants Bobbie to get checked out at GH, she protests since she wants to watch Lucas and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) exchange vows.
Lucas refuses to budge, so he asks Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) to let Brad know he took Bobbie to GH and will return soon. At Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) table, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) confirms that Liz is doing better after hurting her ankle earlier.
Jake Webber (Hudson West) admits he’s nervous about his performance, but Franco suggests thinking about the audience as quacking ducks helps. Nearby, Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) glare at Franco interacting with Jake.
After Jason tells Sam he thinks Franco’s working Liz, Sam backs him up on that. Jason talks about how much he despises Franco, but he isn’t going to let Franco spoil the night. When Jake learns that his act has been moved up, he starts to panic. Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) notices Franco’s concern and sees how much he cares about the kid.
Jake gets stage fright as his song begins, but Franco saves the performance with a “quack” reminder and becomes part of Jake’s act. Once the act is a hit, Jason lets Jake know he’s proud of how brave he was. When Jake gives Franco the credit, Jason struggles to smile.
Once Jason’s alone with Sam, he rants about Franco manipulating Jake and wishes Liz could see Franco as a threat. Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessy) appears soon after to reveal that Nikolas is suing Jason for purchasing ELQ shares with illegal money.
Since Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is the best money-launderer there is, Diane feels confident it’ll all work out. Unfortunately, all of ELQ’s assets are frozen until this can be cleared up.
After a Magic Milo and the Magic Wands performance, Nikolas once again stops Hayden from blabbing to Jordan. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) notices Nikolas dragging Hayden away and corners him to demand that he let Hayden go.
At GH, Bobbie is adamant that Lucas return to the Nurses Ball so he can marry Brad. On stage later, Brad’s left groom-less and Sam looks concerned about missing Lucas. Bobbie’s sleeping in her hospital room when a lab-coat-wearing intruder approaches with a syringe. Lucas comes to Bobbie’s rescue and winds up unconscious on the floor.
Over with Liesl again, she grills Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about the reason he quit his previous job. Finn isn’t willing to divulge anything, but Liesl vows to get to the bottom of his secrets.
