General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the next two weeks tease that we’ll see another batch of Nurses Ball encores. During the week of June 1-8, GH will throw it back to 2016, 2017 and 2018. General Hospital spoilers say there’s a lot to look forward to, so here’s what to expect if you’re doing a rewatch.
For starters, Ava Jerome (Maura West) faces as double blackmail bomb during the 2017 festivities. When Ava doesn’t respond to Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) threat, it’s Paul Horsby (Richard Burgi) who pushes Ava to back down to her enemy.
Ava fears Paul will expose the recording he has of the Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) murder confession.
As for Jake Webber (Hudson West), his act gets off to a rocky start. Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) steps up to soothe Jake’s nerves, but Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) views the move as nothing more than manipulation.
In some 2018 classics, Jake puts on another performance – this time it’s a magic show that’s supposed to have a big finish.
Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) appears in Jake’s mind and nudges him toward doing his Chimera canister trick. Over with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he has a crucial discussion with Anne Devane (Finola Hughes) and admits he sold the Chimera project to Helena.
Anna doesn’t get why Valentin would put a lethal weapon in Helena’s hands, but he needed money for a fresh start and his surgeries. Valentin also belts out a special tune for Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford), who decides she’s willing to reunite with her love.
After Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) follows the trail and realize Ava tampered with Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) meds, he corners Ava along with Carly. They all gear up for a warehouse showdown after Carly and Sonny stop Ava from fleeing the country.
Then, General Hospital has a 2018 classic in mind. In this encore, Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) faces Curtis’ heartfelt wedding proposal. Believing Anna is dying, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) speaks with her to insist he still cares about her. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) listens in on the conversation.
Meanwhile, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) finds Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) during a visit to Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) office. Although there’s no official confirmation for the week of June 8-12 just yet, General Hospital will probably keep following the pattern they’ve set so far.
General Hospital released as special Nurses Ball collection last year, which is what fans have been seeing onscreen since the last of the new episodes. GH has skipped shows here and there, but all the episodes featured have come from that “Best of the Nurses Ball 2014-2018” package on the ABC app. There’ll be two more left at that point.
It seems likely GH will keep the 2018 Nurses Ball going by showing those two remaining episodes. In these encores, Sam and Jason put their heads together to figure out Peter is actually Heinrik Faison. Next, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) throws a punch at Valentin while Alexis expresses her disappointment over the way Finn hurt her.
As for Nina, she’s stunned to learn Valentin knew the truth about Peter being Heinrik. Across town, Maxie goes into labor and is forced to give birth in less than ideal circumstances!
After getting Maxie out of the car, Peter delivers her baby on a blanket outside. This sounds like a timely throwback considering Maxie’s pregnancy realization in the new episodes before the shutdown.
After that, General Hospital will likely fill the rest of the week with 2019 episodes. It makes sense to show their most recent offerings again. The 2019 Nurses Ball featured some fantastic performances. GH fans will recall how Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) adorably made Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) part of is act, so let’s hope that’s included.
Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) also serves as deceptive Sam’s date while Nina is absolutely entranced by handsome Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).
Back with Carly, she’s a tad on the overprotective side when it comes to Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) interest in Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Some things never change when it comes to this meddling mom!
We’ll give you updates as more news emerges, but you can expect this Nurses Ball theme to wrap up on Friday, June 12. General Hospital hasn’t announced the plan after that, but they’ll surely find another theme or select some other great classics. CDL’s where you want to be for hot General Hospital spoilers, news and updates.
